SUV's are just not good value for your money. If you want safety, buy a Saab or a Volvo. Good bonus with those is that they are not as likely to fall over as SUV's ;).
Again agreed. Still I wonder why so many people are buying SUV's. Only sensible argument is active safety. Everything else about them is crap...
They are buying them for the room, you get the 3rd row seating option to be like a van, or the ability to put the seats down and become an oversized stationwagon, all while being able to tow small things(i really frown upon people who tow stuff with a car, its so bad for the transmission and frame of the vehicle, they are not meant to tow trailers and such, sure they can do it, but they shouldnt).
Im not sure that they have the same options in Europe, however in the U.S, they are coming out, and kind of have been for a while with these C.U.V's. The compact utility vehicle, meant to give you the gas reduction that you would see in cars, while the utility of the SUV. Most get above 30mpg, which i might add is pretty damn good, considering my car gets 18 lol! and with premium (93 octane), though thats my fault for tuning it. I guess it also comes down to preference as well, some people just might like the look of it compared to a stationwagon as well. I myself do not like stationwagons at all, every time i think of one, i think of this:
Which reminds me of National Lampoons Vacation
