Mazda 2 mk1? Never seen those anywhere. Build quality should be superior if you have one that's made in Japan that's for sure .

They recently announced that even the 6 series is getting built in Japan from now on (2014 model). That's excellent news for anyone who knows what they are capable of when they have production in Japan. They must have some sort of car sensei there :D.

I'm still wondering how someone could die in a car suddenly accelerating on a highway. I mean, there are so many different  ways to stop a car even if a malfunction (or stuck rubber thing under pedal) makes it speed up...

I don't even...

Toyota is a bit bigger company than Mazda .

Global production, doing this and that there and here etc. No wonder if the quality suffers. Then they have the abomination they call Prius...

2007 Buick Lesabre. Big 4 door sedan with ample trunk space. Turns and parks like a fucking van. I like actually having room for my legs in the driver's seat. I'm 6'2" and I can't even imagine how uncomfortable driving must be for really tall folk. My significant other's parents have a Mitsubishi Eclipse and I can't fit my knees under the steering wheel with the seat all the way back.

I also ride a 1984 Kabuki Skyway road bicycle. Got it for $75 on Craigslist. Just needed new tires and minimal maintenance to get up to tip top shape. Luxury leather seat with shocks (the seat, not the bike frame). After cycling on a hybrid for a long time, pedaling on this thing feels like you are just floating a couple feet above ground. It just goes. I wish there were more warm summer nights. Nothing beats cycling in 60-70 degree weather under the glow of orange streetlights, fireflies, and crackling thunderclouds in the distance.  8-)   8-)

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

I'm 6'2" Yes, exactly this.

I don't need a car atm. My second to last car was a ford escort mk3.

I fled the house the first time I was psychotic (believing the house was surrounded by mafia). I didn't take my car but went on foot instead, and could hear voices whispering that I hadn't taken my car because it was wired to explode.

A few months later (I was on resperidone)  a neighbour knocked on the door to tell me that my car was on fire. It was destroyed by... an electrical short.

Cloudy...inspired....depends on your point of view.  8-)  :P  8-)

Don´t know what kind of reputation Mazda has, but my "lady" has never let me down so far (+150k km), if it was from salzburg(austria) to orebic(croatia) and back through extreme heat and awful bumpy roads with a completely stuffed car or the harsh winters with either tons of snow (austrian alpine style) or below -20 degrees (although once my dieselfilter froze, gotta admit that)

It´s a good car, better than my old Nissan Micra, that ol bastard :D
