It started back in the 6th century B.C. when the first Proto-Locs migrated into Central Locia from the mountains of what would later be the eastern border of the desert. The simple and savage Proto-Locs lived in loose tribes and were often harassed by raider bands from the southern swamps, and horsemen from the west. They founded the city of Locia when the first modern Loc rallied them under his authority and promised the simpletons safety and happiness. The power and wealth of the city grew until they were not only invulnerable from the raiders and horsemen, but started to suppress the peoples altogether. The small city-state then controlled the swamps, the plains, and the mountains from which it originated.
My house was born several centuries after total suppression of the mongrels and the founding of the Sect of Nobility. The records were scarce in those days, so the origin of my house name is mysterious. I do know I am named after my father, who was named after his father, who was named after his father, and so on.
I am Froto, and I am a Loc.
