I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

It's fucking idiotic.

The rules are built for a shoot wrestler. You would be better off without a bloody weapon.

Just go get the front row from the All Blacks and smash everyone to dust.

There are plenty of highly skilled sword schools in Western Europe but this stuff just looks like a bunch of drunk morons with too much money swing bits of metal around :S

Without weapons/shields they could still wrestle but they would have less reach/impact/protection : every reasons weapons were invented.

From a game rules perspective, I think the "going down = eliminated" is the "best" you can think of if you want to have a medieval battle feel without having people actually killing opponents to win a round.
Maybe rules can be perfected so there is less "metagame" ways of winning (putting down an opponent with ninja/judo tricks in medieval fights ) but I think its a nice sport.

Wow if this sport was somewhat popular....  I would destroy people.

Tackling is easy as hell.  Also is there any height/weight limit?

I can see a lot of small pasty nerds trying this out and just getting leveled.

Lol i wonder if anyone would pay to see me, Corsair, Saxon, Vermilion, Casimir and Woody meet up and have a training montage somewhere in England xD followed by an attempt to join the England team. I doubt we'd raise enough money to pay for even one set of equipment lol, even if we made a long youtube documentary about it (complete with ads).

As for the sport, regain some level of fitness and i can't imagine being much worse at it than i am at crpg lol.

hahaha, that does sound rather fun, i'd imagine you could buy armour off the internet or something second hand, might have to have mine made though lol, im 6'5 14 stone lol, so not very likely anyone would have that size :D

besides, i don't know if i'd actually trust second hand armour come to think of it ! :D

as to what the other guys are saying, yeah, i dont know what the rules are in this sport, but it seems to me that putting your shoulder into a shield and ramming someone would be the best thing, you see that one bit where the guy tackles the other guy and takes him down in half a second ... all the weight of that armour i'd bet it ruins your balance
I 10/10'd cRPG on moddb.com!

Do your bit for our community and write a 10/10 review for cRPG on http://www.moddb.com/mods/crpg !

that small ugly nerd can also be fast enough to dodge and fuck up you leg with that tiny puny axe that you thought it was harmless. speed is what matters, not strenght.

also, tackling can be easy as hell, unless you are against a guy with a weapon. you can easily get yourself killed by playing charger from l4d2

Gee, I'd love to form an opinion on that, but the guy in your signature keeps rubbing his crotch against a dead walrus.
I find the idea of defending someone who isn't been violently raped unacceptable on moral grounds.

Yoghurt and walrussians (What the heck is the plural of walrus?) will never be the same.

I'm pretty sure it's "walri".

I'm pretty sure it's "walri".

A group of walrus is referred to as pod. The walrus is the only surviving species in the family Odobenidae, and Odobenus genus, and is immediately distinguished by its high-flying tusks, whiskers and immense bulk.

Thanks, that explains everything except the groin rubbing.
