Very cool and beserk sport, though very expensive and hard to reach for a lot of people. The sport I do is one less expensive (though still not really cheap) and more saphisticated I'd say. It's called HEMA(Historical European Martial Arts), it teaches you how to fight with all melee weapons used in the middle ages, from the poleaxe to the longsword to the sword and buckler. As opposed to the sport mentioned in the topic, you learn how to hit, thrust, throw and kick your opponent with techniques, which it doesn't look like in the sport mentioned(which to me looks like a bunch QQing Crpg players going beserk on eachother, but please prove me wrong if I am). Not only that, but you get tought the same techniques as would've been tought to you during the middle-ages, from the manuscripts. you do not only learn how to swing a sword, but also how to step in at the right time and thrust a dagger into your opponents face or get in even closer and throw him on the ground(after which you land in his balls for extra effect). You learn how to fight like you're unarmored, but ofcourse in competitions and during sparring you'll be wearing all the protection you need. I get it might not be as violent and you won't be able to go as crazy as these guys, you'll get hurt a lot too and you'll enjoy every part of it
Anyway, have a look!
