How did you find out about crpg?

We were discussing this in IRC and my guess (besides some of the people who have played since the early days) were referred to this game by a friend.  I don't think the taleworlds website is getting a lot of people to actually play the game (it says 165,000+ people have been redirected to the crpg main website, but I don't know if that's enough to get people interested in downloading and playing....maybe it is).

My bro (tommyhu) and I were both in the Warband MP beta.  Both really enjoyed the game, we both played quite a few SP mods (not many MP mods as are as I know...at least I didn't).  I got over the Warband MP scene pretty quick (stuck with it maybe 6 months tops after Warband went retail).  But still played SP mods quite a bit.

Tommy got into crpg pretty early on (probably in the summer of 2010, not really sure) and kept bugging me to try.  But I was reluctant to start playing a persistent game where everyone had months and months of building their characters before me.  He kept badgering me and months later I finally decided to play (not til January or Feb of 2011). 

My first gen was pretty brutal, went like 220 deaths before finally getting a kill (which was fine with me, I understood I was grinding gold at the beginning).  I was riding my courser by the time I retired with all my gear paid for.  Even with the help from my bro and other people, I still messed my first build up, and had some obstacles to overcome.  I can't imagine what new players go through that have no friends and don't look for a faction or people to help them out

I remember looking for multiplayer mods with a functional map that acted like singleplayer. This was the only option and I've been hooked since. Showed the game to all my friends and even bought it for 4$ for a couple of them lol. I want the community to keep growing so bad! I think we may need to organize the whole of CRPG to go post on the native taleworlds forums so we can save some of those poor bastards from playing a second more of native

After I bought Warband, I was browsing mods on taleworlds forum where I found the cRPG subforum.
This was baaaack in the good old days, more than 3 years ago now.

Decided to check out mods for warband, downloaded every single mod on the TW forums, most of the MP mods were dead or only did clan events. Crpg seemed fun and was still alive, so I stuck with it

A sizable group of us were looking around at different warband mods and decided to check this one out, at one point that first week I ended up spectating a really interesting EU strat battle and decided to dedicate some time to playing and not rage quit because it's terrible at first. Sadly, Sparvico and I are the only ones who have stuck around from our group. Because of that in my opinion it's not obscurity that's the biggest problem, it's actually trying to retain the people who do give the mod a shot

Played warband (not licence one), someone mentioned that best players play c-RPG. Googled it, watched this video and bought the game on steam:

Then wanted to join Merc clan for few months, then this intention withered somehow.
Now after 1 year of playing I'm bored, tired, and raging a lot.  :(

I got bored of the Native multiplayer quite fast (nothing to work for) so I had a look around on the Taleworld's forums and low and behold, a mod that allowed me to save a character!

As everything started, I got my arse kicked over and over but that just made me angry, and when I'm angry I continue until I start doing well. I'm still angry.

One of my best friends and I saw it on the server list when we bought Warband two years ago. We joined in January of 2012, but he had lost interest by the time I joined AoW.

Maybe a year or two ago I decided to try out all the warband MP mods, because I only played competitive native at the time. I downloaded each one and tried them all out. I got really into MM and PW alpha, but C-rpg wasn't fun to me, so I passed. It's only in recent months that I decided to try it out again, and this time it was a lot more fun to me. I brought I few friends of mine and made the BAMF clan, but I decided that it would be cool to learn strat and stuff and be with an experienced clan , so I found a random clan and joined with most of my guys. (At the time I did not know RoR/GoW was a new clan, but it has worked out for me so far.)
