Can confirm the performance boost on AMD cards.
Can run it comfortably on all settings max now, even that Nvidia frameworks crap turned. Good patch.

And hard mode is supposed to make the zombies more aggressive, loot less valuable and the overall experience more difficult.

Ok, I tried, and Hard mode is hardcore (duh) : you heal over time when using a medical item, zombies are sturdier and deadlier, ennemy zombies don't appear anymore on the mini map, you regenerate your stamina much slower. Hopefully, I got max level in everything, so I'm not going to die easily.

Also, you can drive buggies in old town.

There is something terribly wrong with this game. When I am in the building at the beggining, it runs smooth 60 fps, when I go to the guy to get gear for my first mission (after the parkour part which also runs smooth on 60 fps without any hiccups, The moment the game loads after going through doors, I get horrible lag that doesnt change a bit when I lower the settings.

My specs:
GFX: AMD R9 270
Cpu: AMD FX8300
4GBs of ram.

Are they meaning to tell me that rig that cost me about 800 bucks can not run this game even on medium? I mean cmon, shadow of mordor runs with all settings on highest except for textures!

Well, 4GB ram is pretty low tbh.

But Dying Light had issues with AMD/ATI hardware but for 90% the last patch fixed it pretty much. So, yea... 4GB ram is pretty low tbh...

Well, I played like 8 hours, and I gotta say, I am dissapointed.

Melee weapons have zero feeling of impact when you hit an enemy. I mean for fucks sake, I am swinging a fucking baseball bat around! Zombies should fly in opposite direction with fractured skull if it were supposed to be a bit realistic, but no, all I hear is a little *PAM*, with the zombie grabbing me few miliseconds later.

Fighting against humans is even worse. What the fuck do they mean I cant block but they can? And oh my god, dont get me even started on how every drunken twat suddenly has the ability to throw knives with utmost precision.

TL:DR: They could not even manage to copy dead island right. Dead island was fun, up until the town, where it became REALLY fun, unlike in this game, where the zombies are supposed to be OMFG so threatening by defying the laws of physics. Isaac Newton would spin in his grave like a fucking blade of circular blade if he saw the physics of this 2015(!) game. Seriously, please, someone tell them to stop cranking up graphics and start remembering to make the games fun.

The only positive thing I can say about this game is the integration of parkour (suprisingly well done) and the exploration aspect (exploring at night got me quite excited I must admit), but seriously, this game doesnt deliver, not even in slightest.

EDIT: does anyone have any idea WHY the hell is takedown so low on a skill tree? I mean cmon, its one of most basic skills that reward you for being sneaky, by allowing you to instantly off an enemy without blowing your cower!

The game goes so ¨hurr durr be silent or those ugly bad volatile infected come and rape you¨ then places takedown as one of the last skills to obtain!

So for most people Dying Light was boring because it was too easy and zombies died way too fast, for Nightmare it's apparently the opposite.

This has nothing to do with difficulty.

I am not talking about how fast they die, I am talking about how hitting someone with a bat or a hammer feels like I am fucking around in the wrong neighborhood with one of those toy hammers filled with air. The combat is frustrating for all the wrong reasons.

If anything people said the exacty opposite. It does feel like actually hitting someone. I dunno wtf you are playing. So the physics arent exactly 100%, but they are still quite solid. The combat is actually frustrating for all the right reasons.

I think everything you just said was related to the fact that you are just bad at this game. The human opponents were pretty easy imo. Their throwingknifes missed me like 80% of the time, so I dunno what accuracy you are talking about and you could very easly take them out if you patiently watched their moves and performed based on that. If you randomly bashed them, yea its hard, but if you actually bother to figure it out, the humans are extremely predictable opponents. Their blocking is mildly disturbing, but it never really saves them in the end.

The problem with human oponents is that it feels like a battle of attrition. You repetitively try to barage them with blows (Im no expert, but kicks in games like these were always there to break blocks), Until either you die, use the incredibly stupid grapple (was I the only one who expected some kind of actual move instead of just grabbing them and tossing them aside?), or they actually short out on their little stupid ai and forget to block your attack.

I remember that back in the days of dead island, when I hit a zombie, It acually fell down for exaple, or at least stumbled. I remember that with each well aimed strike I either cut-off limb or broke a bone. Zombies were threat because they were tough and numerous, not because of bad physics and bullshit grabs.

I dying light, I had to compensate by using strong attack, which cost me more than half of stamina per hit, just to knock them down!

About throwing knives, I am not definitelly complaining that enemies are able to throw knives, I am complaining that every fucking gangbanger high on speedball chugs around knives like hes a fucking ninja. I think that only minor leaders or specialists should have that ability. I mean cmon, how many gangbangers nowadays can throw knives with 100% success rate? It also hillariously ridicules the statement of ¨most of my men are either too slow or too drunk to climb that tower¨ while the standard for them seems to be able to throw knives in unison like a party of manical rednecks on happy hour.

Yep. One of the things Dying Light does well is the feeling of weight behind melee attacks.
