If you can get low-fat chips that aren't heavily salted, they shouldn't be too bad as snacks.

Not necessarily a bad thing. It all depends on what your goals are. And as long as you don't overeat. And carbs isn't the body's number one enemy. Though if you want to lose weight, eating snacks on a regular basis isn't something i'd recommend (duh).

Also just finished an epic juicy steak.

Shame carbs is in like every good food too. Including fruits as well. As long as you keep it low (doesn't mean you have to avoid it completely it'll be fine).

And /fit/izen? Errr...i'm gonna take a guess and guess you're talking about Reddit/4Chan? Nope don't really hang out at those sites to be honest. Don't really hang out at any fitness/workout site except BB forum occasionally :P

Example?

I'm looking for some good stuff to snack on.

Fruits every now and then, I like to get corn for the same purpose, not sure how healthy that is, but it must not be as bad as a chips or something.

Although sometimes I, especially with friends turn to trash food, sigh. Not all day everyday though

Kale chips are great. If you happen to have a dehydrator, they're even better. You can flavor them however you want to, either with a marinade or dusting them with spices/fruit skin zest/etc. Same goes for apple chips.

Celery, roasted chickpeas, and fruit like strawberries, blueberries, and apples all serve to feed you well in between meals. And dates, too, let's not forget dates.

Good thread. I don't really like counting calories all the time but I guess it would become automatic routine if I did it for couple of weeks... Just been cutting down carbs for now... As you've probably seen in Torben's thread, I mostly do only cardio training. Now after I've been doing some epic lumberjack work I have started to think gym could be even better way to work out (my log splitting career ends in couple of days :D)

Use myfitnesspal.com and write down what you eat (you can even use the app on your smartphone. It has a barcode scanner and almost every food is in the database, even white label foods of Belgian companies)

You don't have to start your day with counting out what you will eat that still fits your macro's, just start tracking what you eat and you will probably notice you are eating too much carbs and too little protein. Find alternatives and eat some more foods with better protein count, track it again every day. After a while you just know what you should eat to follow your macro's and it will go all by itself.
You only need a food scale and myfitnesspal.com, you just put it next to you while you are cooking and weigh the stuff before you eat it/prepare it.

It takes very little time and doing this, I actually brought some order in my life which actually created even more time. Time you can spend on health, your job or whatever you like. It's not like you can't eat stuff at BBQ's and parties anymore, you dont have to track your stuff every day and it doesnt have to be 100% exact. It's an estimation that will help you to follow a guide line. You will learn the nutritional values of your foods better and healthy cooking will just become second nature.

:D naw joking man. I couldnt stand having a belly. I once was close to 90kg for a short time, dunno how that happened. Since that time I watch my weight all the time. I'm pending between 78 and 80kg. My gf wouldnt let me get fat anyway, we have an agreement to keep our weight because none of us wants a fatbellied partner.
