If you would see those collages in a magazine, you would probably look at it and say "Yea, well, whatever... rather mediocre." but now it's on human skin and it's awesome?

That's the impression I get.

The guy everyone seems to really dig here makes his "drawings" not by hand and with pen and paper but instead uses photoshop (the software) to create the piece. The rest is probably the same process.

Is that a bad thing? Some really good artist's use graphics tablets to draw directly into photoshop and the work they produce can be amazing.

Shoulder pads, hammer pants, bell bottoms, izod logos, fanny packs, leisure suits, crocs, parachute pants, corduroy pants, polo shirts, popped collars, dicky's, cullotes on men, one-piece jumper's, leg warmers, members only jackets, drop crotch pants,......and many more.

What do those items all have in common? At one time a ton of people thought it was cool to have that look. Now they just look back and wonder "What was I thinking? LOL!". The difference between those items and the current tattoo trendy fad (even though it is going decades strong now) is that people could shed those bad decisions in seconds flat. Try that with a tattoo! If you like them and really believe that they are for you, great. Have at it. But at least have a little more self-respect than to simply decide one drunken afternoon that today is the day to get one and go pick some random piece of amateurish graphic art off the closest tattoo shop's wall of generic slop. And for fucks sake, the last thing the world needs is another tribal tattoo on the arm of some white guy whose closest experience to a tribe is National Geographic or the Indian Headdress he wore for Halloween when he was 4 years old

Yo, tribal is a mindset, not a trend. Every brother got tribe blood in him, word! Don't y'all hear the drums: BADUMBADUMDUMDUMBADUM.

A tribal tattoo is to the male what a tramp stamp is to the female.

Once again I have to advise against getting a tattoo. If you do want to get one, at least make it something useful like this: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=31873

Unless you're in the all blacks or something like that a tribal tattoo is as bad as getting a word in a language you don't speak.

Yeah, he is unbelievable!

If I had the money, I´d arrange a session for me with him and fly to odessa(He´s probably booked out for the next 2-3 years in advance though lol).

Okay, that guy is an actual artist who works with skin. From what I've seen, 95% or more who do the work are more like "tattoo techs", or in the more common job lingo you hear nowadays by the fly by night certificate schools, a "tattoo parlor pro".

Some body areas may be more sensitive than others, but i doubt it hurts a lot with modern tattoo machines. Afterall a  tattoo lasts forever, a bit of pain is the price to pay.

it hurts like hell, who ever says it doesn't is just bullshitting you.

especially the areas where there isnt much meat like shoulder, collar bone, ribs....

it's all a part of the experience
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

Well, depending on the area it either hurts like hell or not much at all.

I´ve got one on the inner biceps and it was okay, really.
