So you need to pay bazillions of ingame dollars in order to buy the best cars but there's no real world paywall ?

Nah you just need to pay bout 950k for the Z Type iirc and adder which is the fastest car over 1 mil.

However....that's the thing. It's easy money once you hit lvl 40+ or less. Youll get like 10-20k per mission and most are easy and ofc the big grind thing...SURVIVAL MODE IS THE KEY TO EASY MONEY AND EASY XP. You get 20k per survival mission done and over 3-4k xp including all kills and stuff.

Complete 10 waves of enemies and just camp and bam you got 20k and easy lvls. You find body armor and sweet guns in the area too so no need to be high lvl for survival mode.

It's how i turned into a rich non-pleb Blackwater Mercenary. That and killing innocent middle-eastern people.

Seriously got a bike fetish and the Akuma is so fucking sweet it's not even funny. The Bati bike can get a faster top speed but the Akuma got the best acceleration in the game and also when you turn around corners and shit the Akuma don't even need to brake to turn. It's so sweet. No gay sports car (see adder and rest of banshee bs cars) can outrun you because you're so small and got perfect acceleration and can turn around everywhere. It's perfect.

Gawd i love those bikes

Except they handle like Chaparral 2J with makes driving bikes a soulless and unchallenging experience.

Hope you're not one of those who missed vanilla GTA IV's driving system lol. Horrible...horrible. GTA series was never supposed to be realistic (only GTA IV made a somewhat approach at it). Lost and Damned fixed the horrible bike driving system as well as cars (somewhat) and GTA V made it completely good again (bike system was still the best in Lost and Damned however).

I swear when i drive a car i don't want it to feel like im driving a boat in the middle of the streets lol. Fast car chases and quick turns is what it's all about. Now it's back to good old school arcadey driving which is what it's all about.

Don't worry though. When it comes out on PC you can all change GTA V into something it's not supposed to be and mod in an inferior driving system as well as playable spongebob characters.

I don't personally want realism just for the sake of realism, at least not really in GTA. But hell yeah driving in GTA IV was absolutely brilliant, challenging, interesting and rewarding, unlike driving in GTA 5. Driving in GTA 5 barely requires any effort and is so very boring.

I swear when i drive a car i don't want it to feel like im driving a boat in the middle of the streets lol.

It's me or are you using a realism argument against realism ? Following realism, cars should handle like cars, bikes handle like bikes. In GTA5 cars and bikes alike handle like formula one cars with a kart engine. Bikes are one tenth of the weight of a formula one car, while cars are one half.

Fast car chases and quick turns is what it's all about. Now it's back to good old school arcadey driving which is what it's all about.

It's all about boring you mean. Also more realism would mean unlocked top speeds so cars would actually be able to go much, much faster than what they can right now. They intentionally made cars unable to go faster than some absurdly low arbitrary speeds to please the crowd of "perma accelerate" idiots. Nothing prevents you from doing even more epic car chases with realistic driving except your skill.

Don't worry though. When it comes out on PC you can all change GTA V into something it's not supposed to be and mod in an inferior driving system as well as playable spongebob characters.

It's pretty clear the devs wanted this game to have good driving just like GTA IV did (why make such a massive leap forward in GTA IV if not for that ?) but had to go back on that because of shareholders screaming about the casul market.

Not all the cars handle like formula 1 race cars.  Not even all the sports cars or super cars handle like formula 1 race cars.  It really varies based on the vehicle and your driving skill.  Cars are easier to handle in V vs IV, but to say they all handle like formula 1 race cars is a joke.  Almost all the vehicles have their own quirks and most can lose control if you're maxing out their speeds and trying to take corners.

It sounds like you want the original Mafia driving mechanics in the game, which I don't think most GTA players want.  We want a mix of "realism" but on the driver friendly side.  Not a complete driving simulator.

I played a bit of GTA 4 in the last few days and bikes handle really really nice there. As a "biker" myself, it feels like a proper mix of arcade with realistic elements.

Did they change that in GTA 5? Would be a real downer tbh...

I agree with Kafein's point of view.

I personally found the driving in GTA IV much more "Rewarding" and fun than I find it in GTA V

While I do like some things they have changed (Such as every car having bald tires syndrome GTA IV had)  I do miss the collisions and vehicle damage from GTA IV compared to V.

I find speeding in the game mindless and boring because of how easy it is to drive.  Your car rarely loses control in extreme cases and sometimes is barely affected from a hard collision.  It reminds me of Saints Row in the sense that every car except yours was made of paper.  You could be in a sports car and plow a truck over no problem.  It may not be as extreme in  GTA V but It definitely has similarities.  While you can argue a hard crash can now cause an instant death, that still does not fix the fact that I feel like a pillow is protecting me when I hit On coming traffic.  I just shrug it off and continue with no problem.

Do not even get me started on how silly the "Power" Franklin has.

In basic summary, a lot of players who like being "God" and owning the road like the new system.  Those who prefer driving to actually feel dangerous and nerve racking at high speeds prefer the old system.

It is a matter of preference, arguing over which is better is like arguing over your favorite cereal with someone.

GTA IV didn't have the effects to your car GTA V has.  You never smashed in your front bumper and caused the wheel to become stuck pointed in or out.  I don't know what game you guys are playing, but whenever I've crashed into a car they come to a stop and you're unable to push the car (like the car weighs a 3 tons and you're driving a go cart).  So I completely disagree with the driving comments people are being negative about.

Well of course you can't take all corners at top speed otherwise even LordBerenger wouldn't call that driving but rather being a high speed train passenger or something.

In GTA5 there's almost no turnlocking when you brake on a bike (there wasn't a lot in GTA4 vanilla either though). You can take corners while braking at maximum just fine. That's just one example, but in general the transition between GTA 4 to 5 was much more hurtful to bikes than to cars.

GTA IV didn't have the effects to your car GTA V has.  You never smashed in your front bumper and caused the wheel to become stuck pointed in or out.

Play GTA 4 again, this can happen. Tires never popped out completely though.

There are two problems : unrealistic driving and unrealistic damage. Car damage in GTA 5 is much more forgiving. It's not just that there's less deformation, you can simply take a lot more before blasting your engine, including frontal crashes with oncoming traffic. All vehicules seem to have more weight but it's mostly because tires are made of glue.

Play GTA Lost And Damned expansion. That's real good bike driving system. And if you want a realistic driving sim go play some racing game lol.

When i'm chased by 100 SWAT cars, 5 helicopters and 17 crazy other players i don't want to have to worry about a painful driving system.

Besides the awful driving system in GTA IV vanilla it took place in Liberty City. Liberty City (gotta be the worst city in all GTA games overall) was so tight and almost felt claustrophobic which meant that you couldn't drive far untill it was time for another turn. Los Santos is way bigger which and with the new driving system you feel much more free in your movements. And let's not even talk about Blaine County lol.

Overall i'm happy that Rockstar realized how horrible the driving system in GTA IV was and dumped it and remembers it for future sequels.

I did, and while bike driving was nicer than in most games I played (of course including GTA 5), this mod made it a lot better, together with basically all vehicules : http://youtu.be/TKBgfN6be8Q

About the rest of your post I think we can safely conclude that our tastes are not the same.
