Free stat and Loom Respec

A slew of new items have been added, slots have been changed, old items nerfed and buffed. I don't think its out of the question to give everyone a free stat and loom respec.

Also, I know there is the marketplace, but it is going to be impossible to trade away some items for a fair price (like xbows, bows, one handers, etc)

There is most likely gonna be stat adjustments and we'll have guys crying like archers did after the 13pd bug was fixed and they'd all respecd their mains.

Free respec of stats = spitting in the face whole generations of players royally fucked by old patches  Also, expensive respec = less lvl crutchers which is always good

Against any respec for free. Reason is simple, if you do it once, people will want it everytime something gets changed, doesnt matter what.

This. Plenty of people's builds have been fucked by patches in the past and they never got a mass free respec. Consistency is key here, they didn't get that option, so we shouldn't either. Also as far as the looms go, pretty much what Falka said, everyone will be running with the new items and whatever got buffed. We all need to learn to take the downs with the ups.

When was the last time there was a patch of this size? The last one I can think of is the addition of the slot system, were everyone had free respecs. Plus at any level over 30, the most you can lose is one level. I don't think there is that big of a difference between 33 and 34, etc.

Yeah, although to be fair, they cut everyones gens down as well.

I still retire, despite being way over gen 16, and the build I have right now wasn't effected at all. So I don't need a respec either, but I am sure there are a lot of people that have had their builds royally fucked.

If you give people some facts to make their choice, and change those facts afterwards, the choice is invalid/obsolete, and a new choice has to be made.

Character development is based on choices. If you change something, you might have changed the validity of a character, and should grant a respec.
