Alright alright, after all these great suggestions, I think I am going to name the axe Ursula and just make up epithets to accompany it on the fly.

URSULA FOE-BURNER SINGS IN MY GRIP.

FEEL THE BITE OF URSULA MANBREAKER.

NOW COMES THE REAPING - URSULA SKULL-CLEAVER WILL BE APPEASED.

Etc.

By the way, I told my wife about this, and she's really into the idea... which is good because I need points with her if I'm going to keep playing this game so much.

Just read from wikipedia's Viking Age Arms and Armor page:

"According to Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda, axes were often named after she-trolls."

...My wife will love that.
