thats a marketplace bugg, i have 2 mighty and 1 mw poleaxes

let's confirm this, have people who have more weapons used the marketplace, i haven't, i've had this text twice post patch and i don't have any new weapons or see any difference in anything...

I have never used the marketplace. Why would the axe appear few mins after seeing that message and mirror the weapon i was using at the time... then when i retire and loom the weapon to change the name of the random weapon that appeared?

I've had the same experience Bale. I just got the message a few hours ago and I just checked my inventory on the site and suddenly I have the well-bred courser i was using at the time as well as a heavy courser. I've never used the marketplace.

so if this is the case and it produces new and better items, is the reason i'm not getting any new items due to the fact i'm getting the bonus on already fully heirloomed items, plus is there something else to this other than new items, or are the new items a bug, i would really like some confirmation on this, because this seems like a whole new reason to retire...

This is incorrect. I've never got the message, but I have a Masterwork Poleaxe and two Mighty Poleaxes. The extra/different heirloomed items is simply a display/site bug of sorts, and has nothing to do with the message.

I got the message today while playing DTV.  I was second highest on kills and had no heirloomed items on.

And if you get the item bug do not sell the bugged one or else you lose both :'(

maybe so.. but why would the stats be different? Even named Scary Great Axe? When that item does not exist.

That is strange,but I've only heard of that example (and the example about the courser) over the entire life of this thread.  Both of your experiences came after the marketplace was opened even if you say you haven't bought anything.  If the buff was something that we could see on the site I think people would have figured it out by now.  I know that I went through all the items I wore when I got the message and compared them to stats found buying new equipment etc.

Of course you could be correct and everyone else could be bugged (seriously).

Those were the old heirloom modifiers. This is easy to verify: In the case of the poleaxes, the Masterwork heirloom modifier does not even exist anymore. And one of the Mighty modifiers is from a few weeks ago.

ok then my last argument for it....

on the website for my main if I put the mighty great axe in the spawn build and look it says the mighty great axe takes up one slot.

on my alt character i also have a great axe just reg version and that says it takes up 2 slots when i put it in the build.

Why would that be different?

The two axes in my inventory have different str reqs. The new and better one is 14 str and the regular is 15. If I can equip it at 14 str will tell me I imagine. I have 7 and climbing. I can prove or disprove myself in a few more lvls I guess.

The mighty great axe which takes one slot takes one slot because it was from before the slot change. Obviously, it can't be one slot since great axes are two slots.

I honestly don't understand what you're trying to get at here. The extra heirloomed items you may or may not have in your inventory is a clear bug, but completely unrelated to the mysterious message.
