I got the message today, whaaaaaaat does it doooo......so far all I know is, it's something for the set you were wearing when you got the message, and that it's perm, it stacks if you get the message multiple times on the same set, and that it's a very very good thing. Adding all that up, I have one question to ask you chadz, are the bonuses that are applied to the set carried over when the set is mixed with other gear, or are the bonuses only available when the set remains the same.

I've been playing 80 hours the week, and dont receive the message. Play only battle mode (sometimes siege).

My guess is that items break less frequently, that is why upkeep numbers stay the same. I got one when I was off my horse, which is too bad. Fractional KD, in siege (thus the dismount).

So does this mean that people who are lvl 30+ might actually have a chance at seeing the message now?

not going into detail, but more like the other way around

-It's something very good which needs to be stacked more than once
-It's permanent
-It's applied to everything you carry when you get the chadztext, weapons and horses included.
-You have more chance to get it when you are of a lower level than 30
-It's not related to time spent playing
-Obvioulsy it increases your knowledge of the items

received today the first time ( not sure there were some before i haven't noticed) i played with the same gear for like a week now:

Head: Barbutte
Body: Kuyak
Hands: Wisby gaunlet
Legs: Rus splinted greaves
Weapon: Mighty long hafted spiked mace (yes that is only ONE weapon^^)

i was lvl 29 while receiving it an i havn't noticed any changes so far :/

Interesting. So knowledge of weapons is something that should happen more often (or have a greater effect) for who isn't in a clan.


I remember chadz saying something about chadztext like a way to add a roleplay flavour into the mod, maybe the "originality" of your equipment set has a role on the chances

I'd like to ask just one thing to all the people who got the "what is that" message. Did you get it with your main, or with an alt, or you hadn't choosed your main at that moment  ?
Cause if it's only with our main, and if we can't see it on cRPG, it's maybe because it's actually a minor buff for strategus. Like you will be able to craft that sort of equipment for less materials. And if you have enough "what is that" message on the same equipment, you might be able to craft an heirloomed version of it.
Thus the fact that clan will more benefit of having a person with a lot of "what is that" message.

Are you sure the chanche is influenced in clans? How will they even know that?

We don't even know in what way he meant it, and in what way chadz meant it. And chadz says that he has to wait what the text DOES, not when we figure out WHEN.

EDIT: Bulzur, i can confirm i wasn't on my main character at the moment. I hadn't chosen one, so that MIGHT influence it. So far we only know the level does.

Yeah Polobow you are right, it probably has nothing to do with chances.

But I really hope it's not strategus related, cause the lower the connections between crpg and strategus are, the better
