Was working on a map like that a while back but I quickly gave up due to finding it frustrating to use those rock parts, amazing way yours has turned out. I would love to see a few thin (maybe at some points getting wide enough areas on both sides to allow high ath/3+ courser 13 riding characters to jump over could lead to quite entertaining gameplay as well) pathways of rock cutting from the top of the cliff somewhere maybe 50% down as I feel it would greatly benefit the map to have a bit more vertical fighting allowing for ambushes by jumping down on paths bellow, and a bit more ways to cross the fall should also lead to considerably less "three guys with a long maul, three guys with a shield, and a million guys with ranged weapons" style camping.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

The jumpable gaps are already in -- I expect most cavalry to use them.  There are three, all of which are jumpable by Rouncey.  The gaps get easier the further out, so maybe some armored horses will clear it, can't test.

Infantry jumproute is in, the fall is 7 damage for the benefit of not having to cross a bridge.

Definitely going to add a third bridge in order to have four infantry routes.  I am most worried about 2h infantry not having a good role.  Cav, archers, and shielders will all have fun, but I want it to be fun for all classes.  I will make that happen somehow.  I did try the cave route early on but didn't like how crappy it looked...maybe I'll do some ramps to get lower on the z-axis, but really this only makes it even harder to cross.  Really the bridge should be a big highground.  Hmm....I think I'm gonna make a big stone main bridge with walls, then move the chain bridge and use it as the 3rd bridge.

If it sucks I can always make a new version  8-)

quite shocked there aren't more submissions.  its fun and easy to make maps.  its just painting in 3d.  id be happy with some new maps with just vegetation and random rocks and shit. NEW being the keyword.  some of these damn maps are literally YEARS old and still get same playtime as much better new maps.

there are HUNDREDS of crappy village maps, many indistinguishable from another.  even just a few hours in an ed can make a map drastically different from them in both look and gameplay.  a map like screaming trees or celtic circle probably took a couple of hours to make and they are remarkably unique in gameplay and quite fun imo.

seriously teh ed IS IN YOUR COMPUTER, IT CANNNOT BE EASIER just copy your crpg folder somehwere else, rename it crpgmaps, put it back in the original module and then fire it up with editor mode ticked in the startup window options.  choose "blank 2" in the scene editor and go to town.  YOU ARE THE MAP GOD NOW USE YOUR POWARS TO MAKE A NON SUCK MAP.

you make the map in game, its really really damn easy.  ctrl-E brings up your godmode panel, then when you close and save it you return to the game avatar to test it.  they even let you spawn a horse now.

knowing how devs are maintaing map rotation i think it is rather discouraging to put an effort into making them

I also made an update to my Snowy Town map if it matters. Added two new paths for cutting through the town.


Snowy Town

This town is undergoing a harsh winter. It is now harsher than ever before, the town is under attack. The soldiers must fight the attacking force so that the villagers can flee to the castle for safety. Hold them back!

I found this map half finished and decided to get it done. It's a pretty simple map, stairs going up the hill, people fight on the hill. It has a some buildings and such, however, just not a lot.

Sorry if i'm "spamming" submissions or something like that. I think this is my last one.

lol are  u serious u download my map and copy so much and call it your own map? wow man... srsly this went too far if this gets a ok (hte prison map ) then im out of this contest.

its ok to downlaod maps from other guys and use some things but u copyed too much and didint even edited the size or anything.

i ask u kindly to edit ur map, i have no cpyright on it yes, but do u have smth like respect to works of other people? u might not care if i leave this mod. (im 100% sure u dont, i understand that)

just as sideinfo : this is no cry or smth like that but, i will leave this mod and forum if this gets an ok. its not only cuz of that but this really would give me the final reason to quit.

WTF I didn't even look at your map man. I'll take it down but whatever. For the record I din't even bother to look at your map since the pictures were on steam.

I think all dungeon maps might look similar since there's not many different props.

If you can clearly take screens of your own map showing the exact same parts as his map and it becomes clear that his is a copy then I will remove it from the contest, but while it looks  similar at some places then I've not had a close enough look at your map to say for sure that his is mainly a copy.

Also, lepton, I'd advice putting some more effort into individual maps, a lot of your maps (everyone I can think of besides maybe the prison here) look far from done.

I will if I have time!  My maps probably take like 5x longer to make than most -- shit like measuring out the distance from spawns to the trapdoors in Pitfalls, making sure both sides are equally jumpable on Chasm, etc etc.  I am getting really close on Chasm to having all the cliffs done.

Have to admit...Battle in Swadia & Riot in Swadian City almost certainly took longer to build than my maps  :shock: mad props on those maps, two of my favorite.

You make excellent maps but I wouldn't copy it. I think all dungeon maps might look similar since there's not many different props. I think you dominate in the dungeon type maps though.

Since Vagabond is under the impression that I "copied" his map, I want it removed from contest. Just to be clear I didn't even look at your map. But I hope that we won't hold grudges so , so if I offended you i'm sorry.
