Its based on backgroundcolor, but what if someone doesnt like the backgroundcolor on a armor like Yawshan. or Cuir Bouilli.?
Then one can switch banner and stop clan-stacking siege.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

Then the others or normal heraldic with banner in front would be fucked ;)

I also think that the fixed color armors should not be removed. There are two reasons:

a) Maybe you want a certain color, but have a fixed clan banner.
b) The fixed color looks slightly better than the dynamically colored one, because the blending method is not perfect.

Added palace guard armor. It's not perfect for bright colors, but dark colors look very good. Maybe I will try to improve it for the second release.

Byrnja can't be converted, unfortunately, because it uses submodels. Same problem as with Narf's brigandines and the heavy aketon. Someone would have to merge all textures of the submodels into one texture, and make new texture coordinates for the models. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that.

I'm now going to prepare everything for the first release.

I sure hope this will be added. It's probably the closest thing we'll ever have to heraldic cloth and leather armors.

Btw, WHY NO LEATHER JERKIN??   :(

Will there be a way to select a banner for your armor that differs from your clan banner?
It would be nice for people who still want to use their clan banner yet, have a certain outfit design in mind.
Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

Yeah, I can do that in the next release (if the current release ever goes live).

That would be great, and maybe it's possible, but I have no idea how it could be achieved, sorry.

Me, too. Unfortunately, I know of nothing. While I was in cRPG IRC, cmpx has quickly taken a look at it, and we have talked a bit about performance implications, but I have no idea if, or when it will be included. He was of the opinion, that 80 ppl using dynamically colored armors could be a big performance problem for older computers. I'm sure they are testing that somehow before forcing it unto people.

I wear a Byrnja and I love everything about this post. Now I can look forward to this without fear and enjoy all the new pretty colors on everyone else without losing my wife of a color. It's gonna be a fun battlefield out there pretty soon I'm guessing, nice work.  :D

BTW guys, is it possible to make dynamically coloured armours with bodyparts, so that your armour would always match your skin? (I am talking about the armours that weren't added because there was a ready-made skin colour and having a head of an afro-american and the rest of the body of a pale european is not meant to be in the mod). So is there any way to make body armour parts' colour, depend on the skin colour of a character? If yes, we could use this technique and repair with it the highlander armours or create new armours (like chainmails with short sleeves [where you can see forearms etc])
