I'm against this, but I wouldn't mind if the theme set a little bit later. So the best armours would be Transitional's and Corrazina's.
If it does go ahead, I want a lot more armours! Proper face plates for the era, more great helms, heraldic coat of plates, more variaty of coat of plates, more chainmail things and more weapons. To make up for the lost stuff.

I have no idea if I'd rage quit, I think part of the reason I'm so into C-rpg in the first place is because you create your own custom character and can equip him how you see fit.
I'd probably play a lot less. I would deeply miss my Samurai character & my array of different tribute ALTs (Mord_Sith, 7 Samurai & random others that I've made in the past just for fun.)  & of course the unique look of the battle field where everyones different play styles meet up, Templars, Roman Legions, Spartans, Ninja, Samurai, Vikings, Nomads, Knights(both good & evil), Squires, Pages, Arabs, Turks & of course Cross dressers & the brides.
I'd be very sad to see them all go in favor of one select play style/time period.

I say, if we are playing in  Caldradia, then make it historic (for the game) to the type of stuff those factions use, otherwise just leave the stuff alone.

I always disliked the immersion breaking items, so the removal is a great step. Besides devs are adding 13th century equivalents, so you can still swing around your super long and powerful 16th century swords, just with a new 13th century paint job. Go for it.

I think this is a great idea.  I just hope you take the full advantage of the diversity of the 13th century, including other cultures.  Right now using Miadao because it looks most like a middle-eastern sword of the 13th century as the game is severely lacking in sarranid/middle-eastern/north african gear and also khergit/mongolian/turkish weapons especailly 2handed adn polearm weaponry.  That is 2/5ths of the original games cultures and if we could enrich those 13th century cultures equipment into the game it would more than balance out losing idiotic looking gear like the black armor, throwing lances, armet, nodachi, etc.  Really think this could be done very well, but also has a potential to fail so testing should be done with new designs before removing old ones.

But hell no, otherwise. Not for cRPG. As odd as it may be to see samurai fighting with vikings against cavaliers, it's also rather fun and interesting.
