Its rather simple. In real life, if you are at war, you burn down their crops, steal their cattle and leave nothing behind if you leave. Kittiya is buying in your fiefs, selling in your fiefs. You even gets taxes for it... There is a reason the S&D is limited, its because its important, and you should protect it. You said nothing could be done about it? If you don't want foreigners to trade in your lands to protect your S&D, you make sure you have an army ready at the border to stop them.


No need to start a flamewar for every time someone uses actual strategy/ tactics in the game, or for every time you lose or get outsmarted.

Wasting S&D points in opponents villages is necessary and appropriate. S&D terrorism is primary and natural technique in Strategus 4. It's not exploiting, it's a completely honest approach to the game. I'm glad that you think like me 

It's a pity that the result will be that both sides will have less money to buy equipment and therefore will be less cool battles, but it doesn't matter, because it's not about fun battles just about winning the game. It's not ruining Strategus and is fine

It's like in past Strats giving 1 of every item to enemy armies or fiefs just so they wouldn't be able to use their own equip as it got lost past dozens of others of the same type. You could legitimately have called that "clever" and "disrupting" enemy through trade mechanics, but really it was just ubber gay.

The fact that nords failed to stop kittiya from buying goods doesnt mean everyone will. This system encourages more big open field battles because you actually are motivated to guard your borders.

Also, in what way is plated gear vs plated gear more fun then med/heavy gear vs med/heavy gear?

Yes Mercs are always honest, but truth hurts sometimes and we are sometimes misunderstood.

We took a 700 men army bought goods and tried to go to other city to sell it for 24 gold. We got attacked by Nords.
And then Victory. i went into Haen, but it had suddenly drooped all most 700 SD without traders there. Hmmmmm weird
i sold some stuff to and used up there SD in that fief. Then i suddenly update thir, and it went from 1300 to 700 then to 500 then to 300 and then 0 at the end.

So Nords really eight er buy up all the goods for 20 gold each or they buy sell in same fief getting a -10 gold a pice.
Eight er way i think that form of warfare is a bit dirty.  We at least was honest and didn't send 100 men false army and sell buy in same fief.

I believe you two have a very different point of view about it but one of the main reason behind it is : keeping people mindful about their borders, so no longer leaving to character to auto grind. Second reason is implementing more economy than mindless gangbang. It obviously need improvements indeed.
