Press right stick to lock, move right stick to switch targets.

I hope you're using buckler and short sword :P

 of course i do.
k, the target switch works, even though it is not really reliable in the heat of the fight.

At first i had some trouble getting used to it, too, it seemed like it was clunkier than in Demons souls.. but now im used to it and i think it works pretty much as intended, just takes a couple of battles to get used to.

Also, the online mode lets you be a total douchebag with the gravelord covenant. It's even worse than dark wraiths IMO

I just wish they would've fixed the backstab mid-roll, unless that's just a lag issue. The game is undoubtedly fun and one of the best games I've played in a while but PVP is definitely screwy a lot of the times.
And how!

Yeah, it's a major problem, all you can do is just avoid becoming open to backstabs >_> No wide swings and such... damn backstab fishers.

Btw loving this claw thing-a-ma-jig, pretty weak in damage but has an epic move-set, i really love the roll attack, and the kick seems to have been replaced with a knee'ing attack instead. Also it is lightning fast.

It's just silly mechanic but I guess I'll try that if I ever find myself rolling at an odd angle. I did pretty well invading in the Duke's Archives lastnight. I only lost to one person (although multiple times), they were using some spell from the expansion I didn't recognize that was a fanning purple shot I couldn't seem to dodge. I found out they nerfed the ultra greatswords after narrowly managing to beat some zorro looking balder side sword user.
And how!

I have no issue dodging most attacks but that one was a little strange even when I thought I had dodged properly. Latency also causes some timing problems.

Edit: My character to add to this threads collection:

After pvping for about an hour this is what i found out; people lack originality. Even in a game such as dark souls with a shitload of weapons to chose from people still use either Balder swag sword or katana. Also spam combustion = win. Pyromancy is pretty OP if you ask me, all you need is to put like 10 points into attunement and you got yourself a pyromancer. No one knows how to push the joystick forward either, backpeddaling is apparently the only way to fight.
Yes i know im using a mask of the child, but i kind of like having a masked face in combination with claws.

Screenies of my new claw char:

I FUCKEN HATE DEM COMBUSTION SPAMMING KATANA WEILDING BACKPEDALLING-...

I have yet to come across another light armor wearing (under 25% load) ultra greatsword wielder and I actually only came across one balder side sword user. Most people I've seen in co-op or invasion have had interesting builds.

Yeah dragonslayer spear is better than swag sword, simply because it's longer and you stab with both most of the time.

Too bad there isn't some lightning glove similar to pyro glove, that would be awesome 8-)
