I've decided I'm going to stop using shields. Parrying dagger all the way. Such swag.

Well, I've heard different opinions about this game, lastly I'm looking for good RPG which is focused on fighting simple and developing your char, but no like Diablo LMB, LMB x 20, RMB. I don't have enough time to read whole topic so, please, could you tell me about it. Yes, yes I've read some review's and they didn't tell me anything ;_;

OK. Dark Souls is an epic and addcting game, yes its hard and challenging, but thats what just keep sucking me and other players into it, if you are the raging kind of player, this migth not be for you, but if you are a bit more hardcore PC gamer, and you like RPG's, then this is the game for you. Online system is also pritty unique from other games out there, the feeling you get from seeing another players "bloodstain" or the figure of another player dying to a curse freezing into a solid crystal statue and seeing the holograms of other player is just epic. 1 of a kind epic and addicting game.

Use a controller if you are not already doing so, the game designers themselves admit that the K&M is not really supported (And honestly, trying to be agil and precise with a crappy 8-direction WASD would be a nightmare).

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

i already use one, but it i hard to focus one enemy. i have seen better solutions and not to mention the combat system.
sure to parry and riposte needs timing, but most of the time i wish my char would block when i press block.

What?! Dark souls combat is one of the best! The only problem i've had (ever) with the combat is that sometimes it gets buggy and i can spam roll but he doesnt, then when i press attack he rolls. Happens very rarely, but happens. Other than that i think the combat is pretty much perfect as it is, hard to focus one enemy? How is it hard, and why would you want to focus just one and not attack those who are open for attacks instead?

I set a fire on this thread :D

So you recommend using a controller, but I have only PS 3, so I think I can exlude using pad. Can you give me good video which shows fighting from more technical side? Thanks.

hmm, for the start a "cylce through targets" option would be usefull.

You can, camera stick during lock on switches target.

Oh and Arn, you found the right game if you are looking for a good RPG. Dark souls combat is so interesting, finish the game with one weapon then do another playthrough with a different weapon and you will get a completely different experience. So many different animations depending on what kind of weapon you are using, sooo many combinations of armours, rings etc. PvE is real hard the first time around, gets easier everytime you finish it though since you learn how to beat every area in a easier way.

Then there's PvP which can get you sucked in easily aswell, it has moments where i just want to flip a table because of lag/cheap deaths, but then there is the the feeling of coming up with a new build, learning to master a new kind of weapon and good stuff like that. I've never actually invaded to be an asshole dark wraith but im sure it has a nice rewarding feeling when you kill a player struggling through the area's, lol.

Overall the game gets pretty much the same score as cRPG (IMO), something like a 9.5/10. Best games i've ever played, always keep coming back to them.

Press right stick to lock, move right stick to switch targets.

I hope you're using buckler and short sword :P

Also, the online mode lets you be a total douchebag with the gravelord covenant. It's even worse than dark wraiths IMO
