First there was Staffmen. (recently been revived, but more of a playstyle than a clan.)
Then there were Ninjas, based on the basic principle of Staffmen, just more elaborated. (been active more or less the whole time)
Then Guards and I think Knights of the Roses about the same time. *Rosewoods clan.
Templars also came about this time.
Mercs came later when Gnjus, Olwen and Oberyn decided to start a clan together.
Still lots of oldmy old friends playing this game actively.. proof that it is extremely addictive.
Just to get some of this right. Clans that were formed in cRPG. Not before.

2010-07-08 Airith being in ATS already, must be a native clan. Also Cmpxchg8b being clanless.
2010-07-16 was my first found of when Mercs existed(but at the time there where plenty of members, so it was formed obviously earlier).

- Staffmen were dead quite a long time, but has been recovered recently?
- Ninjas were dead a while when Lisa resigned from leader position (Khorin & Thomek were not active at that time and there were not any other active ninja members at the time). But guess is will be arguable in this thread.
- Knights of Rose died at the autumn of 2010, while being playing a moment in strategus?
- Guards and Mercs has been longest continuous period of active clans in cRPG.
