So...

This sounds interesting
Probably not my cup of tea...
What, that is supposed to be a game?

I want to be a space ninja. That sabotages enemy spaceships. With a laser katana that can cut through hull, and deflect laser blaster shots.

Yes.
Maybe you are not bad, but you are a boring person. Well, that's the end of the matter.

Tavern Keeper plays this then just puts a massive thing of armor covering the whole ship with a torch on top and the whole inside of the ship is a tavern
It's not always about winning. It's about spinning.

It's dangerously close to good newsst but this reminds me of Ambrosia Software's Escape Velocity.

Edit: Oh I get it now.

Someone loves all those dumb omgpop games, so don't knock it!  Lots of people like being healers in MMORPGs and nothing is a dumber, simpler mini-game than watching bars and hitting "HEAL" over and over for hours.  (I'm not saying *I* like these things, just that lots of people apparently do because they keep playing them.)

Playing DPS in most mmos isn't much better honestly. The biggest difference is that instead of looking at your party member bars you target an enemy and press your single target rotation mindlessly, or multitarget one if there are more enemies. Healers have to similiarily react to AoE damage, but regardless the playstyle is more reactive. Tanking on the other hand range from the most hectic job to the most boring job depending on the encounter. It's sad really, but that's what the healer-tank-dps gameplay will tend to cause on some fights. Of course nowadays in general there's always the "run away from fire"-thing too for all classes.

But yeah, I agree, if you make a potentially very boring thing FEEL like it's interesting and important, at least some people will do it. I mean, seriously, MMOs in general are hugely repetative and essentially extremely boring if you strip down the concept, yet there are millions and millions of people playing them because the concept brilliantly makes it seem like it's fun and interesting (at least for a while)

I would love to make a penis ship with maximum thickness of the hull in front to ram people.

Would be so hilarious.

OMG HE HAS OVER 9000mm HULL AT THE GLANS!!!AND HES COMING RIGHT AT US!!!EVADE!EVADE!

*cruuuuuuuuush*

and then I would scream in ingame chat : "SURPRISE BUTTSEKS!"

Hilarious.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Until someone makes a ship that is a giant ass. You won't be able to resist attacking. Then when you thrust inside, that is when we spring our trap! Our team of highly trained ASSassins board your ship and kill your crew. Game over.

Can I join your crew, sir? I can be the engineer overseeing the exterior sphincter.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.
