All I'm in for is a nice number of nice ai castle attacks and some nice battles...strat 3 is kind of done...lets move on and start anew with 4.0

This is the second sizeable faction of people we've been at war with, so far. Our first real conflicts didn't happen until last month, and we were having a blast fighting Hospitallers and will hopefully have a blast fighting Druzhina, once we can actually engage them with real armies.

Really though, this rage in the forums has to stop.  Both sides have members that have gone way overboard, and it has turned a fun war into something sour.

A lot has happened in the few days since myself and other officers got back from a trip.  We need to cool our guys off and stop this crap posting.  I hope all sides do the same so we can get back to enjoying the game.

No, DRZ was not my idea or doing. We do keep good relations with the EU clans and have talked about support for the war, but DRZ came for their own reasons.

Well I think this version of strat should have been wiped a month in when it was realized that when you attack or defend and you have equipment on people when you win the battle you lose all that equipment.  It took like 6 weeks before it was finally fixed (meaning most people just sat and recruited and crafted), then they fixed it for the defenders, and then a couple weeks later fixed it for the defenders.   This was like 3 months into strat 3.0, and it certainly should have been wiped after that issue was left unresolved for basically 2 months.

Strategus has been completely neglected in strat 3.0, I'm assuming it has to do with project anus.  It's not that there's so many bugs right now (well asides from almost every battle I've been in having ladders go right through the top of buildings or walls, which is pretty detrimental for both defenders and attackers).  I think the big issue is that there is a lot that needs to be done to make strategus better. The game mechanics basically make it so that factions generally disregard castles and cities as important.  not to mention there's no game mechanic that discourages large alliances.   

Strategus has a lot of potential, but it's pretty shitty right now (after 3 fucking versions...cmon now).

Maybe the factions should get together and organize a ghetto strategus using the battle groups function?  Basically make it like a pen and paper RPG where you move units around on a map and when battles are initiated we just start up a battle group and go to town. That's really the only draw in strat is the large organized battles.  The actual strategus mechanics are god awful.

There's been so many great (and relatively simple) suggestions for improving strategus...but I feel that the dev's are overwhelmed as it is, so I doubt any of these great ideas will see the light of day.
