Always depends on your multi, the higher the more money you gain of course. If you are unlucky you might pay every round for your horse. Your other gear is luckily not that expensive, so I guess it should be possible. But do not always use your War Horse. Repair costs for it are quite high - at least for me (Im used to 600 gold max repair costs =D).

I'd say, give it a try. Use cheaper gear at x1, x2 and x3 and better at x4 and x5!

it is good for infrantery, for other cav is bad. I like to charge into mass and stab unaware ppl who is fighting or bump them on ground. With rouncey or destrier that is hard, moust likely they will kill your horse, and i am not that brave to charge with them.

Warhorse has lost alot of its point since the leg damage increase.

Doesnt have enough armor/hp to sustain many attacks and is to slow/unmanouverable to avoide many fights.  It used to strike a nice balance between tank and race car, now its just an SUV.

Destrier might not be the wisest choise either if you don't have much gold. It is pretty expensive horse. Your other gear however isn't too expensive so it might work. Are you planning to use shield? Because I can guarantee you will rage from time to time if you ride anywhere near ranged troops with that armor without a shield... Sadly shields cost gold too and raise the upkeep... 90k should be enough to have one gen with unarmored horse.

yes,i have to practice shields and it work man. Only sucs if i get dismounted, then it is bad. But shield can take 2 arrows, and i have 2 shields so i have enough time to remove myself from archer without losing health. only thing i realy hate are HA and archers who shoot my horse in the head 1 second before couched lance hit them. That dudes remove health from my horse so easily.

Well up until level 22 or so I'm on foot and make about 10k in gold during that time.  From 22 until I retire I'm almost always on my horse (destrier then courser).

This is my gear, and I usually lose about 20-30k in gold per gen (that's a rough estimate it really varies).  But 90k gold is 10k less than I have, and most of my gens (I'm gen 6) I've had under 50k gold.  My first gen was the only one I had to get off my horse when I was poor, selling looms (and still able to buy a loom for every retirement) was the only way I could make money.

My total gear loadout is usually anywhere from 50k to 60k (obviously taking into account heirloomed items say they cost more).

They dont, they cost the same as the base item in upkeep.

actualy man you are right. You don't realy need much money. I like to ride crouser, wear mail shirt, skullcap, heavy lance, and sarranid boots and i make money.
I loose it a lot,but then i get more then i lost. I totaly understand you why are you always riding and not playing on foot.
Cavalery is so awsome. I will sell my loompoint after retire so i will ride for next 2-3 gen. :D  It is fustrating, but it is so much fun.
Only thing i realy hate are horse archers, and crossbowmans.
Loomed items increase only total cost of your gears, but repairs are same as you have it non loomed. Because increase of it value items can brake more often, but repairs are same.

I'm some kind of light cav atm. Light/medium armor (blue tunic over mail), a lance (I prefer the normal one, not the light or heavy), arabian arming sword and shield (if I get dehorsed or want to play some 1h cav) and the rouncey as a cheap but good horse.
