Is a goddamn village. It's boring and repetetive to say the least, especially with so many interesting custom maps already made/in progress.

chadz, please pay attention to this and get some more maps for cRPG 1's map cycle.

I fully agree, NA servers have far better maps, hell even EU4 has better maps.

Yeah fully agree, I would not call most of the maps on EU1 battle maps, more like siege maps. Getting fed up of attacking a village or ruins up a hill, some of the maps are just plane forts.

The maps on the shogunate server are awesome, they should be included in all server (just one forest on plains map is bugged)

I want more maps that are a bit more cav friendly and not some roof camping archer clusterfuck. So yes, less villages.

i think the biggest problem is those big open maps, where the only viable options are cav and archer
