I have no problems with heirlooms and market prices.
BUT if heirlooms ever get reset then kill them alltogether.

I dont want to grind them again.
(Though im glad that its more the fun in playing m&b  crpg then gathering heirlooms that keeps me playing :P)

Well, at the same time I was level 30. That's 8 level difference, between me and you. And between me and let's say Ujin, there was 13 level difference. I didn't mind that at all. Also had no looms and had normal ninja build. Was very satisfied. Four level difference can be pretty big if the build in question is one of those min-maxing builds (like STR oriented builds). Otherwise difference isn't that big.

When I started out as a peasant, I was extremely satisfied with the game. It was kind of unique in the sense that most MP games put everyone on the same pillar and then the players with the most adapted skillset win. When you are a peasant in cRPG, even surviving is a small victory. But I kind of lost that attitude with patches that forced me and others to win battles to pay the upkeep. Before, fighting level 40+ people was a cool challenge, without anything horrible happening if you lose. Now it's not fun anymore, with upkeep and multiplier that drag everybody into this stupid and dull goal of winning rounds.

I'll keep retiring atleast up to gen 16, which is still quite far away. Then I'll consider leveling. I like retirement, it keeps my build flexible with all the changes.

Is upkeep really that bad? Did you guys all buy sports cars using 80-90% of your money and then couldn't afford the insurance?
And how!

In an effort to decrease heirloom prices, I encourage everyone to refuse to buy any heirlooms priced more than 500k per loom. Eventually, if everyone participates there will be a passive decrease in prices until they get to a less ridiculous level. With each passing day more heirlooms are created, thus prices should be going down anyway.

So join me, in an effort to reunite Calradia. Or something like that.

This would never work. The only way to stop the inflation is to increase upkeep.
I mean, what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing, you're going back to nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!

OP=cheapo

don't listen to this nonsense, there is no heirloom bubble! Heirlooms are an investment! Buy them no matter what!
It's not that I'm cheap, I'm currently looking to buy a +3 kettle helmet for 1.7m. The part that bothers me is that a month ago it would go for 1.3m.

I'm not cheap, "some" other people are selfish. I always sell looms for ~400k and before it got bad I sold them for ~300k. But "some" people get a taste of the riches and they can't handle it and they need more and more and more and more and more^23.

Notice how I use "some" as to imply the world isn't completely full of scumbags (<- and that was a joke)

Hmm what about adding an option of "unlooming" items? Possibility to make from +3 item a +2 item and loompoint(and so on)? That's a serious move, because it'd add great flexibility to the market, which would change things drastically. I think it'd decrease value of loompoint to more stable level, and possibly it'd slowly go down alongside with more and more retired chars. But I'm not sure about this completely...

Also, if 'unlooming" had come true, an option to "unloom" item not to loompoint, but to money, would give devs power to adjust prices(in some range) on market by setting a value of loompoint(I wonder how chadz would set that...) - and by that the prices of already loomed items(generally about 400k for l-point would be appropriate, because of money one can gain in one gen, which varies around 400k depends on lvl) . But that kind of "central planning" together with easy unlooming would totally kill trading as it is today.

Sooo, well.. free market with different prices, inflation etc. or dull but stable controlled market.
