Anti-inflation Movement
« on: February 16, 2012, 03:11:31 am »

In an effort to decrease heirloom prices, I encourage everyone to refuse to buy any heirlooms priced more than 500k per loom. Eventually, if everyone participates there will be a passive decrease in prices until they get to a less ridiculous level. With each passing day more heirlooms are created, thus prices should be going down anyway.

So join me, in an effort to reunite Calradia. Or something like that.

Say NO to SOPA/PIPA!

Don't buy anything from major record companies for a month!

Don't... oh wait. Why am I here?

Yeah, heirlooms. Too high, must resist, don't buy, don't buy...arghhh...

Sounds entirely awesome, yet it would just make rich people even richer by holding prices down.

Not if they get rich from selling loompoints.

Don't make me slap you! If you weren't respecing every 2 seconds then it wouldn't be an issue would it. I've already said your not allowed to own looms anyway. I wish you would remember the rules I make up for you.

The only reason people demand more gold for each loom and so on and so forth is because everyone else is. Its getting harder and hard to pick up gear.

+1s have become retard in the last week. I've personaly pulled all my prices down to what I think is a reasonable and sane level.

I have a shield up for 375 if you PM me I'll drop it 350.

the problem is, if suddenly the heirloomprices go down, the people who sold all their looms can buy a shitload more of them, which wouldn't be fair.

I dont think you can decrease inflation by putting a set number to the heirloom sell.

Even if you could set a standard price, remember that ppl still keep gaining money, which would just inflate the prices in the market.

Also, heirloom selling is a nice way for a new player to make some money and close the gap with a long time player. I know this well, being a 2nd gen, without selling my loom it would have took me weeks before being able to afford anything +2 (since i did about 60k my 1st gen, from upkeep and so).

Selling a loom for 600k gives you almost a +2 item or almost 2 items +1 in the market, if you are buying low.
