Dezi's Den of Duelling (Challenge an opponent, place a bet!)

Aljo, I was on for much of the weekend as well!  I sent you a friend request on steam, as you requested, but I didn't ever see your name pop up to accept or as online.  We can try again.

Lesh, I am honored by your duel request and I accept.  I hope you are not expecting to fight a shielder though.

To both participants...I'm having some computer trouble right now (this is not my computer I'm typing on) but I will do my best to be available for duels this evening (7pm-10pm NA Central time)....assuming my computer boots up.  I'll leave an update if something comes up!

For the benefit of arranging a duel time and to avoid ambiguity, I will continue to update what times I will be able to duel.  Respond or PM me with the time YOU can duel and we will set a time.

For example, I say "today 7-10pm".  You can say "ok, 8pm" and I will say, "ok".

My current availabilities: today, 7-10PM.  Tomorrow, 7-10PM.  Friday, 7PM-1AM.  Saturday, 8am-noon.

If any of those times work for you, we will have a tentative schedule.  Of course, life happens and I cannot predict if something will come up Sat morning or something.  But setting a time will give us something to work with and a time slot to try and keep clear, instead of just saying "whenever we're both on".  Just let me know!

1. Cut the spamming. If you want to taunt eachother a bit then please do, but no one wants to see pointless flamewars. Keep it friendly, it just clogs up the thread.

2. Once again: Sort the time/date out yourselves for your challenges and then pm me. I'll inform the challenged of the challenge via pm, but I'm not going to bother with much else. This is largely the responsibility of the challenger; you're the one who wants to fight so make sure to get it going.

3. GTX/Candiru ffs, get to it already!

So what's with the betting ? Did i understand correctly that bets need to be placed on both participants in order for things to work out (its logical yes) ? So if people bet only on Umbra and none bets on the equus africanus asinus its a failure ? If that's the case I'll rather bet my 50k on chadz, its a wasted money but at least it will give me some motivation for spectating.

Yeah, it kind of seems like he's offering even odds on every duel? But that would be nuts.

Edit: oh, wait, no, I read the outline in the first post now. So he's not covering bets at all, just running a pool. Like you said, that's kind of pointless unless it's an even match, and most people probably won't bet on one of those.

From what i understand you get the percentage of the opponents bets proportional to the bets you made. I dont think there are any odds in the classic meaning. Its a risk/reward system. I might have misunderstood tho
