Wearing an expensive weapon is in no way leeching.
Using shitty armor is accepted, since it actually influences our running speed, and thus cannot be counted toward leeching. So...

I see no reason there for dear Panos to get kicked. Leeching ? No, had a weapon.
Afk ? No, he was there.

And no explanation or warning is also a shame, but what is more problematic is the reason of the kick.

If you weren't , i admit it was a bad decision on my part to not warn you first .
