Nothing to discuss really. Get yourself a clan first then talk about leagues & tournaments.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

Isn't a large part of cRPG getting lvl's and heirlooms to build an asskicking character. It's kinda weird if you can't use those in a clan tournament. I still support it though, would be very hard to control if people are not using looms. Maybe everyone should make a new character with a certain tag for the tournament.

Then the first battles would be peasant wars

looms and free leveling would make it unfair

the point of this league would be to show up some skill and strategy, not how some retards spent their lifetime grinding

the main difference with native league would be that you can make your own build with your own equipment and not follow some readymade, play new maps too

then there's 3 options : _ believe people aren't retards and won't try to cheat in a game ... derp
_ make a different crpg mod or server on which only stf chars are allowed
_ make a different crpg mod for league only with everyone creating lvl 1 chars and getting lvl through tournament matches only... could be fun but i wonder about its balance, would probably often need a reset

That ^

Somehow I get the idea that devs are planning something along these lines. You better hurry up.

As the planning phase means it is about a dozen lightyear away. Here is how I see it could work:

Require people to make new characters with skip the fun. They should have a big T at the end of their name or something. Something that shows they are for the tournament. You would have to inform devs, admins or whoever handles namechanges to not allow this tournament specific tag as a namechange. This way you will get all new characters without looms. The only problem is that people could level them beyond lvl 30, but I doubt anyone is that hardcore for a tournament. Maybe 2 guys are no life enough to do that, pretty much everyone will be lvl 30.

Teeths suggestions are quite good, and also this:
make a 3rd type of character: You would have a main, a lot of alts, and a champion (or whatever you choose to call it).
The champion should be a new character and would get STFed when making it to guarantee no loom or level aboose.

well olwen :D you could be a super suck up and get nice and friendly with a mod and ask a mod to ref the matches (as they can check players lvls and gens) making STF chars is fine but they would need different names to the persons main otherwise they would just change the tag :D

The game is called c==RPG== for a reason, i like the idea of people being able to use their looms in tourneys, clan battles, duels etc. Otherwise we can just play native battles, not much difference. Imo.

We can consider lvling chars/getting looms something like a preparation for a tourney, like a boxer training hard before the fight.

I'll actually agree with Ujin. Looms are a part of the game. Lets us not throw them away completely.
