My attempt at a map for the Siege Beta, of which the system allows much larger functional scenes and makes mapmaking all the more interesting. Quite a large map featuring a harbour, a city, a bridge with some portcullises over a gap and finally a keep. I have put an effort in balance, the map has the same spawn time for attackers and defenders, I balanced it using spawn distance. Attackers and defenders spawn at a similar distance from the flag, hopefully allowing for constant balanced gameplay. I expect tweaking to be necessary, but it should not be horrendous for a first go. I also tried to keep the siege in siege, by providing two instances where the attackers have to use ladders, gates and doors to get into a walled area.
Due to the size of the castle I kept detail objects to a minimum, I first want to be sure it runs smooth as it is before adding anything more. Furthermore I want to credit obitus for the ingenious bridge design, I hope you don't mind me using the flipped gatehouse stack, it is the only way it would be functional while not looking like a turd.
