I don't think the inflation is that high.

The price of heirloom points is going up at crazy speeds because :

1° many people stopped retiring thinking they would buy their looms
2° those that still retire usually don't sell their loom points, they have better things to do with them (looming armor being the current hype)

High demand, low offer, high prices

heavy plate armor, mail mittens + 15 strength gives you 82 hp despite having no IF. Seems like a fine cav build. Since you aren't paying upkeep, every once in a while you can take it up to lvl 30 since you will have a lot of money.

lots theory ....
plz show me one eu1 top score level 25  plate charger player, just a pic ....1 ...fucking pic...

It works just fine why else would people do it??
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

Yeah, cause it really is for topping the scoreboard instead of farming gold, upkeep free, while using plate armour and plated charger
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

The way it works currently is more or less fine. Free upkeep until you hit 26 or 27 or whatever is ok, but the moment you hit the respec button you should start to pay upkeep.
That way it would be some protection against all the exploiting.

Gotcha!
... 14 mounts heavy 1h cav experience.|I can do the same ..with a rouncey or desert horse but the fucking lame grinding to level 30 + is a good for schoolboys or nonworkers not for people with real life. I see a lot of guys with plate charger under 25 but most of them (97 %) are funny victims. Riding a slow plate charger with  plate armor under lvl 25  make your female char sexy , no more, no less .Ok a couple of archer noobs shit in her pants when they spot a mainbattle tank ;) thats fine, but the level 25 main battle tank  is far away from  "ultimative killing machine" state  . The easy plate charger bump killing days are over since 1 year.

One thing everybody should consider is that the only disadvantage in not getting higher then lvl26 is that you lack xp-bonus later.

If someone who is abusing the lvl26-freeupkeep is playing as long as a generation one needs until retirement he will have earned 435000 Gold.
So instead of heirlooming his gear he is able to buy it probably at the same time then those people who retire.
But instead of having to play with lower gear he is able to wear whatever armor or horse he wants.

I have following idea:
- if you declare a char as your mainchar you lose free upkeep.

=> Free upkeeppeople aren´t able to use market then
If they ever decide to get heirlooms then they will have to pay upkeep for them
=> no full heirloomed / no upkeep chars

And another thing why this is abuse i will tell it cause im sure some are already abusing it that way:
Create 2nd account with new warband-key -> Play with full milanese and plated charger all the time
-> buy gear for a lot of money from your main-char

Profit:
=> You can play with full gear and plated charger all the time
=> Your main which has to pay upkeep gets incredible rich and can buy heirlooms easy even if he doesnt retire anymore

So Devs im not going to retire anymore in the near future... tell me if its abuse or not... i can buy a warbandkey for 10€ at christmas for sure.
If you dont do anything about it im going to pump money in my mainaccount too cause its the best way to get a high char with fuckload of money
without having to play as peasant-alt.

I dont say anything if everybody gets banned who uses 2 warband keys. then its not working this way.

Great suggestion Cam.  As someone breaking even wearing medium-heavy gear, I support your measure.
