Honestly, the only thing that keeps me on playing crpg is the fact that i have a crappy laptop, and cant play any of those new awesome games.

My gaming in the last month has been split....

50% Heroes of Newerth

50% Crpg

 :D

Exactly the same ratio as mine, tho when Skyrim comes its gonna be 100% Skyrim

For those people who are saying: pfff how can a singleplayer game take time off cprg, they will just play it for a week and be back

Those people have obiously not played any of TES. REALY played, not talking about just doing the main quest and ending
Defy me, and you will know what it is to stand against a god.

I know what you mean, full completion. I came quite far with it in oblivion.

Sounds like you have Obsessive Completion Disorder. things like achievements hunting or looking for all the 100 special items are just awful. You should play something for fun and because it is cool. As soon as you go for a 100% completion or walk around for hours to look for shit, you really have too much time on your hands.

I didn't take it to the full. What i meant by it were all the sidequests and factions.

Im pretty sure that they have said that skyrim is mod friendly. But I think the vanillia skyrim will be okay, I would have played the other elder scrolls, if the graphics wasnt that bad at the time I wanted to play them xD. When people start doing mods on skyrim then it will be even better probably.
Check this out. It's a pretty big mod lists that are all compatible with each other. Just follow the instructions. The graphic mods there makes morrowing look pretty awesome, if that's your main problem.

Here's a screenshot btw.

This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

I dutifully login to the irc channel everyday, but I know I'm neglecting cRPG. It's like a girlfriend you lost interest in, but the sex is  just too good to say no to.

I'll probably come back tho, once the thrill of new puntang wears off.

Then you're not what psychologists call an acheiver. For some people, goals are fun. Both the effort itself and overcoming the difficulty are the things acheivers are looking for. If you only cared about fun, you'd be playing flash "break your mouse" games 24/7. In a game that lacks goals, many people will create them.

Think about it : do you live only because you want to enjoy drinking, eating and having sex ? No. You do care about friends, morals, doing great things etc. That's exactly the same thing. Humans aren't like water, always going down the slope. They sometimes go up because even if it's more difficult, it's a great feeling to be up there.

Yeah, but to achieve full completion of a game that often encompasses boring and time consuming tasks like finding 100 of some sort of collectible. Sure there are tasks that have you complete something while doing something cool, but moving through a game environment, searching every nook and cranny for some carefully hiddeen item isn't on of them.

I just do what I feel like doing. I am an achiever though, I am very prone to obsessive completion disorder. I hate it really, because I secretly know that getting that little pop up when I achieve some achievement isn't worth those 3 hours I just wasted on doing something stupid. I hate achievements, because I love them while they are ridiculously useless and time consuming.
