Agree with Kafein.  If you're hating on new TES, you don't like modding them.

I think Skyrim looks more to my liking vanilla than Oblivion, but we'll see.  I'm just hoping they didn't make this shit a pain to mod.

That being said, there's really not much else out there that has this deep of a melee combat system.  CRPG will live.

Won't stop till Guild Wars 2 comes out. If it sucks, which is a possibility, then i will be back even sooner.

I don't think the combat system is really all that deep when you think about it but there is a really high skill ceiling and it seems more "fair" in contrast to a lot of games today that try to make multiplayer games accessible to everyone by adding more of a luck factor and rubber-banding.
And how!

I have only played oblivion, so therefore it can only get better!
You missed out a lot.

It's like playing a shielder in cRPG all the time with no other characters or alts.

I'm not buying a game until M&B 2 comes out, maybe that fatshark crap, but other than that. To hell with things that don't let me "ride" horses.
Fammi un pompino!

I think I have ball cancer in my right nut :(
Good news everybody! It's not nut cancer :)
Bad news everybody, I got dumped :(

Btw, Stronhold 3 is not a contender, it's shit, I tried to play it, but it felt horrible and looked horrible and I just really couldn't even force myself to enjoy the game, it just sucked, I was hugely dissapointed because I loved the first two.

Plus, even though the cRPG pop might drop a bit, it will never die, it has always fluctuated, I will play some of these other games like Skyrim and BF3, but I will not just outright stop playing cRPG, just probably not as much as usual.

Im pretty sure that they have said that skyrim is mod friendly. But I think the vanillia skyrim will be okay, I would have played the other elder scrolls, if the graphics wasnt that bad at the time I wanted to play them xD. When people start doing mods on skyrim then it will be even better probably.

Elder Scrolls: "inspiration from apple design & romances. " A series that gets watered down and casualized with every installment
Generic Shooter w/ DLC up the ass #142412

I actually stopped playing Oblivion because of Warband (not cRPG, Warband itself).

Each time I tried to play it again I was like "but I wanted to make a left swing :-((("

The view and "historical" setting is so similar it's hard not to mix things up and play as if the best things of both games were present. If Oblivion had a M&B-like combat mod (sadly, it's one of the most difficult things to mod), I would still play it.

none of the upcoming games seemto interest me .
each game has been milked out way to mutch.
its something like the 5th skyrim, the7th cod , 3rd bf.
well i dont see how they gonna make each of these games an new game and not just some little improved cracked version from the last game.

'The storm' whoooh I'm impressed. Every fall we have a huge catalog of supposedly the best games ever. Every year again they fall short of the hype they created. There is rarely a game within these 'big hitters' that lasts you for more than 100 hours. So in the end you come back to that game that has you involved in the community, in which you are in a clan and for which you browse a forum regularly, which is cRPG for the most of us.

I have a crappy pc, but still picked the cRPG is awesome option. I still like the core game mechanics, battle mode stays fun for me. Sure some will dissappear but only a fraction. Skyrim isn't an everlasting game, sure it has replayability and a ton of content, but there is an end to it. Battlefield 3 can draw away some indefinitely, but those wont be that many.

Battlefield 2 is my second most played game with about 200 hours. Not even close to nearing a 1000 hours in Warband of which about 750 in cRPG.

Indie gaming is where its at, not the money grubbing companies that are too scared to put any creativity in their games. Looking at the games that come out these days make me sick, always the same shit, while there is tons of unexplored territory.
