well claymore and nodachi would be my choice, dunno why arent they in the pole they both have so much character, way more than any of the swords in the list imo
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

The best sword is the one you are comfortable with. No clue why but I am not doing well with the acclaimed Danish and German swords whereas I am terrific with a Dadao. With the latter, I just have the right feeling of its speed and length.

Bumping for justice:  Give Warcleaver bonus vs shields.  Seriously, it's the only unbalanced 2h'd sword, no thrust and stats are lackluster vs a variety of others.  Justice!  Bonus vs. shields sword, go go!
And I should be nice or polite to anyone.... why exactly?

Hate to agree with Gorath but shield bonus for warcleaver would be awesome. Give me a reason to use it more.

Its NOT the only unbalanced sword, because its NOT a sword.

But yeah to look at its immense, if axes get bonus vs shields regardless of shape or weight, warcleaver should too. I cant imagine anything you would much LESS want smashing on your shield.

Sure, give the warcleaver bonus against shields and make both the great axe and the great bardiche obsolete, why not?

Warcleaver is pretty well balanced, I'd say. It's cheap, long, reasonably fast, has good damage, no stab and is unbalanced. Sounds fair.

Also, an axe head is a wedge, a cleaver is pretty thin, maybe less than half as thick, and is thus not well suited for splitting wood.

Really if you look at the stats of the other 2h'd weapons there's no real reason to ever use a warcleaver except for cosmetic satisfaction.

War Cleaver
5046
weight 3.5
requirement 13
spd rtng 92
weapon length 120
swing damage 43, cut
thrust damage 0 cut
Can't use on horseback
Unbalanced

Nodachi
10589
weight 3.5
requirement 11
spd rtng 92
weapon length 125
swing damage 43, cut
thrust damage 0 pierce
Can't use on horseback

Great Axe
3247
weight 3.25
requirement 14
spd rtng 94
weapon length 96
swing damage 43, cut
thrust damage 0 pierce
Can't use on horseback
Unbalanced
Bonus against Shield

Dadao
4020
weight 2.75
requirement 10
spd rtng 92
weapon length 115
swing damage 42, cut
thrust damage 0 pierce
Can't use on horseback

Great Bardiche
4500
weight 3.25
requirement 15
spd rtng 89
weapon length 116
swing damage 44, cut
thrust damage 0 pierce
Can't use on horseback
Unbalanced
Bonus against Shield

Miaodao
8030
weight 2.75
requirement 10
spd rtng 96
weapon length 115
swing damage 40, cut
thrust damage 0 pierce
Can't use on horseback

Sword of War
9901
weight 3
requirement 14
spd rtng 93
weapon length 121
swing damage 40, cut
thrust damage 26 pierce
Can't use on horseback
Secondary Mode

In fact probably the best comparison would be the daodao (which I bought to use instead of the warcleaver for dueling) which is less money, same speed, balanced, same length, same attack directions, and is only 1c less damage, and 5 less range.  So for 1c, 5 range you have to pay more money and the weapon is unbalanced which makes it alot clumsier to fight with.  Doesn't seem that fair/balanced to me tbh.  But meh, whatever, I'll keep using it out of sheer stubborness and cosmetic appeal.
And I should be nice or polite to anyone.... why exactly?

You are right, maybe the Dadao should lose 1 cut. Or become a bit more expensive. Otherwise, war cleaver compares well against other weapons listed.

It's a bit fast, yes, but compared to cleaver, it has less cut dmg, is shorter and costs more. Maybe it should drop one in speed, though, you are right.
