Playing with the heavy great sword at the moment. After I played some time with the two handed sword, I wanted to get a "higher class" 2h sword. I'm doing well with it, nice speed and good range, swing damage is also okay. The Highland Claymore may follow. It has "no" speed, but I used a War Axe on my other char, which is quite a slow weapon, and I did (and still doing) well with it. I just need good swing damage.

Yeah if you can block reasonably well, speed doesn't matter so much. Length and damage are more important, IMO.

I'd agree, but only up to a certain point. I'd still rate a german beter than a flamberge because of its stab and speed.

Defiantly  I think German Greatsword is a very good two Hander which is both Long, Does alot of damage and is still fast Enough.

Nah, the 2h stab is still the best attack in the game. Perfect for both long range and close combat. If you're not using that more than slashes, you're doing it wrong. And you're a disciple of bjord, who's a disciple of phyrex, who's a disciple of theNarrator, ergo you use loads of stabs, you should know the german is beter.

But. Danish is 1 longer, and when fighting a good player who has a Danish, you'll always get stabbed first. So you have to block first instead of initiating!

Really depends on your personal preference. Although I find many people fail at blocking a stab after a feint so that's why I prefer this.
