Two Handed Sword here, with the occasional Great Sword usage.

why?
because there is no best 2h ingame, you need sword for you playstyle.
If you are spamer you need longsword or katana but bastrad sword, Miaodao(if you dont need thrust)
For players who love thrust damange :Great Sword, German Greatsword
For balanced (swing/thrust):Heavy Great Sword(because is fast) Highland Claymore(its awesome weapon after upgrade) Danish Greatsword.

and we have flamberg... it is awesome(and expensive weapon)

anyway where is Bar mace or Long Iron Mace???????????

first; this is not a topic about finding THE best 2H sword, but it's where people can discuss what they think is best.

second; bar mace and long iron mace are NOT swords... they are maces... there is a difference

there could've been other 2H swords, and i actually made another topic with all the swords - people just decided to answer this topic instead of the other one.

and yes bar mace is but you fight with that weapon in the same way... but it isn't place to discus about that "unbalanced"(op) bullshit.

in my opinion best 2h swords Highland Claymore or GGS, Long Sword

After rocking the Heavy Bastard Sword to Masterwork quality I have decided to have a change and went for the highly original setup of Heraldic Transitional Armor and a Danish Great Sword. The difference between the 1/2 handed weapons and the Great Sword is unbelieveable and, while the HBS was my baby I can not deny the superiority of the unheirloomed Danish GS in 80-90% of all situations.

Style goes out the window when faced with Substance like this!

...I do feel I've sold out somewhat though, at least I'm not crushthrough I suppose...

Mine's always been the Longsword, just like the feel of it and it seems to suit me well, infact it's also one of my favourite weapons to use from horseback w/o shield too, sure not the most powerful, but I enjoy using it and that's all that matters to me.

anyways, this thread is actually about the best sword, not the one you like :p (even thoguh i agree taht chosing the weapon you like is more important than chosing the most OP)
