Rebelyell ... repeating the same stupidity over and over again is boring. You're a heretic, so you better watch out for words because you will burn at the stake
Bring an interesting element to the idea, in such a way that it was acceptable by the whole community, or just shut up.

naahhahaha, you can't burn our polish person, hes far too amusing drunk!

Uhmmm. Grey Order? Monks who fight to cleans their souls?
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Of course harpag we are all here to further the reach of chadzianity, armagan blesses those devout followers who work cohesively and with holy intentions.

And ofcourse a good system for this would be interesting but i do question how many cans could manage the role-playing and how it would effect internal and external relations.

I think our first step as you said is to agree on one uniform religion, we should really look at documenting religious groups that already exist within calradia and cRPG.  This would give us a good idea of who would b interested in this idea, who would side with chadzianity and Armaganism and who would follow Kebabs and what not.

Maybe we can look at creating a template for clan leaders to submit their religious standing and so we can more easily assess whether this move would be popular.

I think however some members of the Templars see this as an intrusion into the RP which we have held so highly since our creation.

The pope and the papal guard have been core to clan for a long time and are positions within our clan which are highly regarded, this would take away a staple of the Templars which would have negative consequences.  I hope other factions do consider this if this idea does go ahead and respect the Templar dedication to Armaganism and our saviour chadz.

I think that no one wants to intrude into your internal affairs, but you can expect that in such a simulation medieval world as strategus, it will be something more than military alliances. Now waiting for us trade / economy.
An interesting addition is a religion, but not so for one faction, but for all, as an idea. Regardless of the "confessions". You think that you have to this subject, "vocation". All right. I am curious about your proposal. Waiting for a template, a poll, vote, etc.

You will do a universal concept for the whole community, or will you do this your inner RP. The choice is yours, but this second option has no future, and the first will bring you the most benefit.
I hope that something will come out, because it will complicate relations between the factions.
Especially the crusade should be interesting. Good casus belli, is not bad

You can convince people to such a concept, but it must be well done.
Your move.

Im more than willing to work progressively with others who intentions are clear.

i was just hoping to explain why some Templars may be more hostile towards this suggestion.

The system we originally developed in the 1st Calradian church was mostly to bring about RP.

At the base are the Papal Guard, they are recruited from holy orders and knightly orders as it stands, this could of course change and could be a self sustaining multi clan faction that works together.  Their basic role in strategus is to escort the pope around the strategus map while on diplomatic missions and to do the same while in game normally.  The papal guard are experienced, and deadly warriors which should work cohesively as a unit and also be able to fight effectively alone and outnumbered.

The second level we developed was the cardinal, this was intended as an assistant to the pope, to support him with RP events and to help arrange these things, unfortunately we chose hardness so ye...
Cardinals were intended to from the college of cardinals, which would manage the Papal guard, and ensure their loyalty and dedication to the pope as well as managing the affairs of the papacy.

The popes main aim was to act as a figure head, to unite cardinals from different factions and to arrange events for RP etc.

These basic ranks fill most of the required aspects of a papacy in as far as i can tell. It doesn't allow the pope dictatorial powers but also ensures that he is protected from aggressive influence.

I'm not sure that I understood everything well, but generally we begin to agree. You know, everything what is implemented directly in the game is quite simple. This is what requires effort, it has just RP.
The community is already mature. We all learned how to operate alliances based on human relationships, how to sign truces and guard conditions. It does not matter whether you talk to an ally or enemy. It is important that when you declare something, you are doing  this later. This is the trust on which we can build various conventions, therefore, I believe that the time to attempt to create something together.

I like your scenario. I especially like this part:
The popes main aim was to act as a figure head, to unite cardinals from different factions and to arrange events for RP etc.

And that's what I mean, the pope should be common, democratically elected, and should impose its influence on political relations between all factions.

Papal Guard should be faithful to the Pope, regardless of whom chose the conclave. What do you think?

We look forward to any concrete religious movements in Calradia

Indeed that was the intent of the papal guard, they obviously fight for their faction, but their loyalty is to the pope, maybe some form of vows etc.

Should really try and gauge the number of factions that would be interested in joining the calradian church

With the Papal Guard, maybe make it so they can't fight against people who the Pope don't want them to (obviously have to be told in advance), and if they merc too many times they are removed from the Papal Guard and their faction recieves -1 in Papal Relations?

I really want a Papal Relations, btw. Kinda cool xD

Bringing real religion into video games is about 100% a terrible idea.  Maybe 110%.
