- caravans = players
- you can either send people off with the resources,
- or set in the fiefs an auto trader (a bit like in the anno games): "sell wood for 40 gold per item, minimum storage: 200", "buy iron for 80 gold per item, maximum storage: 150", so any person coming along can buy/sell stuff to your fief
- goods slow players (aka caravans) down, so they are easy prey
