Every item you mention there are about two centuries or more younger than these (otherwise beautiful) armors which falls into the Early Modern period.
Probably more like  mere 60-70 years if you take the dusk of  full plate armours and the first acccounts of kilts being used (wiki states it's 16th century, this is pic is presumably 1630  http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e2/Scottish_mercenaries_in_the_Thirty_Years_War.jpg ). Broadsword appeared in the late 16th century, claymores not later than the 15th century afaik.

All i'm trying to say is i don't think these well-made armours will look out of place.

I would like to see more well made armours added aswell.
And personally i think, any melee weapon and armor made before 17th century would fit well enough.

... and STILL they wont let me turn my characters skin blue!
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

As long as we have flamberges, greatswords, bucklers,  sidesword, espadas, gothic plate etc, i don't mind some authentic highlander-scottish armors, even if they are of late period. I don't think they would look as out of place as ashtray bucklers for example.

The claymore model in-game is 15th century yes, the flamberge is first half of the 16th century, the buckler is 13th century, the in-game espadas are 15th century, the Gothic plate is 15th century, and the sidesword is used as early as 15th century but I can't find the precise dating of the model used in cRPG (but it looks 15th century to me).

The kilt and dress in the pictures are 17th century, ie. the 1600s, so still a century and a half older than the Gothic Plate model in-game and at least a century older than the flamberge. A 100 years is a very long time especially at this point in history where we go from the Late Middle Ages to the Renaissance and Early Modern Period.

And the leather armors in the OP are of course pure Hollywood fantasy  :)

Barring the leather armors I like the items and the 17th century too, but it's stretching it a lot to have it together with Middle Age items.

as a former fencer, i think it would be nice to have rapiers, foils etc in game.

Angy summed up what I was trying to say. This game is mostly early to late medieval period in terms of weapons and armor but highlander kilts would be going into renaissance and quite frankly if you want this go play mount and musket...

Add anything that looks good and fits the game imo . Haters gonna hate anyway...
