Alt-itis /or/ Can't make up my mind how I want to play

Does anyone else really suffer from this to the point where it's getting hard to progress anymore?  Granted pre-patch I had that whole 4 weapon hybrid experiement, which while gimp as hell vs any pure-build in 1v1's gave me the ability to swap up entire playstyles for the lulz on a whim.

Now I find myself with 16 characters...

1h/noshield
1h/shield
2h
polearm
Bow

Hybrids:
2h/throwing
2h/xbow
2h/archery
polearm/throwing
polearm/xbow
polearm/cav
1h/polearm/cav
1h/xbow
1h/throwing
1h/archery

And I was thinking of trying a 1h/2h/shield
hybrid, maybe with some riding....

Anyone else just have a really hard time not wanting to do everything at random times?

Man, I thought I had alot with 6. Granted most are hybrids, but still. 16 o.o

But I see no problem, sometimes you just have the wrong build for a map or compared to the rest of the server population. Once that happens, its nice to be able to switch to a character able to do better in that situation.

All my char's are floating around 20 something so stat wise they're all more than capable of pwning if the player wishes it so. If you're thinking about the 30-31 level gap, well...thats going to take a while regardless of a bunch of alts.

I currently have 17 characters.  Well, they aren't all characters, just names.  I had more, but I deleted them because resetting the password on all of them was annoying.  Now, of course, I'm starting to remake them.

So in other words, yes, I completely understand.  And I really miss having my main at level 35 and able to actually do all three of his jobs well.

I have an archer and a two-hand/crossbow character.

I've always been a alt-a-holic. I dont understand how anyone can play the same character. like I make a char level it up, its good. it works. ok now its boring lets try something else...

my gripe is the new retirement system doesn't really support my altism because of uber grind between 30-31, inability to reroll hierlooms at lvl 15 retire. when retire first came out I loved it because it rewarded people like me who reroll. now it sux.

I've been polearm/cav since the first iteration of cRPG, and my tastes havent varied much. Maybe some throwing in a build here and there, but that's my niche.

Meh, I used my retirement to experiment. But ended up as a pure 2h on it. After the patch I have a 1h/thrower hybrid alt. Which is actually a extraordinary funny class to play I might just make a archer alt one day if I feel like selling my soul to the devil "himself" hurr hurr.

if you use a 1h/2h build with cav, a morningstar would be great, its deadly 1handed on cav and 2handed for when your horse dies. Only prob is lack of range on horseback, you would want a heavy, expensive  , horse

2h/polearm (my supposed main), a shielder, and an archer. I keep on fending off the need to go thrower. I generally settle on the shielder these days.

Don't u have enough work in playing those 16? I got 7 and I got plenty work in getting them to level 30 and having fun too. Why don't u create some historical character or some weird own creation who specialize in some particular weapon(s)?

Try melee hybrids:

2h/polearm, focussed on using 2h swords with ocational halfswording(get's a slight upgrade). also good for 2ndary pike on open battlefields.

1h/2h, uses hybrid weapons. at the moment it's only langes messer and fighting axe. I plan to add more though.

I have made this kind of build and it is really nice to swap the 1h to 2h (or vice versa) instantly just by pressing "X" in tight situations and when got some space, just change to longer secondary 2hand weapon.
