bethesda always terrible at balancing games, skyrim overall feels better than previous games. oblivion was way easier, weakness to shock + weakness to magicka + shock damage = kill anything.

I think I'm just going to start a new mage character. I shouldn't have picked the Nord class, magicka regen is fucking me up, turns out race matters more than I thought. Still surprised I managed to do fine as a pure mage so far. I doubt I can muster the attention span to do a second playthrough so I better make this first one count. Time for a restart as a high elf, now that I actually understand something of this game.

Nord Mage is fine.I have one, very nice.Get a nice Mage Robe and some Magicka increasing Items and youll be a Pwner(I can cast like 6 Double Lightning Bolts in a row and still have some magicka left)

btw. HOLYSHIT I encountered a Skeleton Dragon!

@Berenger: Vampire sucks

There is 4 Stages of it, each Day you dont feed it raises one higher, and with eaxch stage you get more powerful vampiric powers. At the 4th stage everybody can diminish you as Vampire and attacks you, EVERYONE.At this stage it is very hard to feed and thus very hard to play.

Also Magicka regen is extremely slow as Vamp and Stamina doesnt regenerate in the daylight.
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Done. Nord Gnjus at the Sleeping Giant Inn:

(click to show/hide)

Now that is epic!
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

How is Bethesda terrible at balancing games?
Meaning lies as much

as in the Haiku.

Meet.....ME, Arch-Mage and Faceless!

Apparently there is a bug with the Moreika Mor Moria or something Mask disappearing.Well, I can bear that for +100% Magicka regen.

I was thinking of creating a thief char: 1h with a light shield.

Would the shield be worth it or just go dual wield, also if anyone knows how is the sneaking affected by the shield

Does anyone know if I can power up magic just by using it without using it on a Enemy? For example casting 100 Firebolts in the air, will it power up or does it only go up if i hit someone?

I'm pretty sure it only works if you hit someone, because I'm positive (haven't really tested that well) that restoration (healing spells) only goes up if you're hurt.

You can improve illusion and your level by casting Muffle when idle.
Muffle=Lowers the sound you make while moving.
