what Kafein and RandomDude said make perfect sense , 

  In the eye of the balance it seem fair in numbers , but you have to look at the intangibles ,  i remember back then people were pissed off at random teams , saying it was unfair , sure we had a few rounds where teams were stacked , but it the random made it fair instead of pushing variables to force teams

Don't want to hijack the tred, but this only shows the flaws of auto-imbalance, yet again.

I'm pointing this out since months, that our current autobalance is a total failure, how are matches where 30-40 men stay alive on the other side, while your team totally gets wiped out in seconds, fair?

Why isn't this noticed? Welp.

Because people prefer to say its fun and fair and balanced to have your clan to fight public battles and have matches end up 5-0

  Or maybe they prefer to stay silent to avoid a neccessary change to the game

funnily enough, i started a topic about this for other admins to comment on and its clear that the rules say you cannot abuse the autobalance

joining a team, speccing bcos u got on the wrong one and rejoining again and again until you get on the one you want is not ok

obe - if you toss a coin enough times you will get the result you want eventually, but if you're only supposed to toss the coin once, then is that still ok?

its not about coin tossing , just look the list of players... you can see by pressing tab fast to see the changes and eventually balance does it job to balance both teams and THIS is exactly the time to choose your side, you will go to that side most of the time

  as an exemple : i don't want to join Team A because it sucks and Team B has all my friends, just wait til Team A gets filled ( It will )   and choose Team B a few times

You will be able to join Team B for sure , of course if your a late comer , you are fucked   , balance will get you usually

The defender team also can benefit from this. Infinite construction sites are quite a pain in the arse once allowed to build up.

in NA Siege construction sites are not allowed on defense  as far i as remember , people ended up blocking the entrances , 

  Thing is : before , there was a few individuals who putted ladders , now its organized and people know exactly where to put ladders   to avoid 90% of the siege map

    IMO ladders should be removed all together even from siege  , you cant build fair maps with chokepoints when you know people wont use them :D

   No wonder defense always lose :(

As I said in my example, if banner balance is on and working properly, it can happen that 5 clan "pro's" with the same banner are lined up against 15 players with different banners.

Trust me, that makes it hard and at the same time rewarding for both sides, in my opinion. Bringing down "pro's" with some teamwork is as much fun as for the pro's to being challenged by having to maintain a 3:1 KDR in order to win.

i maintain close to a 4:1 kdr and having to face clans all the time , i still think its BS and unfair to  face clans most of the time ,  with witchcraft (TS)  and quality over quality (dedicated players with skills and looms to go with)  you get to win far more often than you lose 

         When i was playing crpg back then the shuffle without banner balance gave a nice random touch and matches didnt end up all the time 3-0 5-0 4-1  etc... 

The only exception is i was always VS Fedor and his morning star of crushdeath lol

as you guys love to say : i could deal with it , but constant  fighting vs clans is no longer fun to me when im the only guy that kills people on the other side , 

   I gonna end up switching my banner and mess up with your abilities to play with your friends :p

No....just...no. It's always random. If it "works", it's because you happened to choose the option that autobalance wouldve chosen for you anyways, which isn't a big leap since it's one chance in two.

Oberyn , i bolded that part because you can put yourself in that situation to "choose" the team , its easy to fool the balance

Pubs have heirlooms(you yourself are a pub).
But the TS, which auto balance can't take into effect, is the big difference between clans and pubs. Instant Communiction/ghosting/derision, blah where as pubs have to use in game.

(Oh that phrase is like EVERYWHERE. BTW balb, what's you KDR that the game shows underneath your character page. Mine is right now 5:16 cause i just retired.)

Anders we all knows that crpg have tons more dedicated players in clans than public ,  hence my comment about looms and massive players type : like cav or tons of range , 

 Cant access my char page at my work  but im close to 4:1 kd as far as i remember :)

It has nothing to do with teamwork ,  especially when a horde is trying to gank  a single guy ,  accidents will happen especially when it comes to kill lust ,   

       I avoid the pack as you dont need 5+ people to kill a single man , that is teamwork , you prevent wounding your own team by doing so

  I think people with long weapons need to adapt to the new situation and forget about the past swinging without consequences

Aww, I would really wish that the effect got decreased a little bit. Not as prepatch, not as it is now, but exactly in between. Atleast it would be controllably for me then.

If a guy with a Flamburger says its ok , it mean it work as intended :D

I think you assume that i dont want to play with a team, we always say this at my work : dont assume you make a ASS of U and ME 

In Siege i play as a team , but you cant do shit with pubbies when clans have TS and the armor weapons heirlooms advantage

get a clan.  Banner balance is especially key for a game mode like siege that requires organization & teamwork.  Devs should not cater to pugs in a game & mode thats clearly teamwork based.


You're welcome to hop into our Vent since you wear Huscarl helm and mail armor.  And always fighting the uphill battles is probably what keeps you in tip top shape skill wise.

Digglez the public mode doesnt evolve around clans , what you said make perfect sense for Strategus tho
