I think it is saying something, because the best tier 3 shields are worse than the tier 4 ones....so he's not using as good of a shield that most shielders have access to.  It implies he could perhaps do even better.

For me, its longsword and crossbow or longsword and board shield when there are archers on the server.

Never underestimate the 1 shield skill board shield.  Thats 200 body.

From  my experience in NA, the best shielder in the game is Cyranule. As good with shield as phyrex is 2h. Would like to see them duel if there was a neutral server in the middle of the atlantic for them to use.

The simple fact that crushthrough weapons got limited to a max. extend is the first and strongest arguement for using a shielder...
Having a good sword + hammer is expensive....

Take a careful look on the battlefield, if u are playing long enough.....u see the difference is huge.

But....I can assure everybody....soon, there will be a time i ll be working on rising the amount of whiny shielders again.....

And the crushthroughsounds will be like angelic voices....telling me that brutality rightfully overcomes skill... :-)

Crushthrough is still alive and well...
