In response to all the shit talking the superfriends have spawned some Random AI Barbarian Hordes. They have stormed from the steppes and are on the hunt. Our leader KaMiKaZe_JoE has started the fighting and all hell is coming with him.

Grandmom was interested in getting proof about our gear, ask and you shall receive.

Our New Faction:  Random AI Barbarian Horde

Wiki Definition: "Barbarians are a non-playable "civilization" that cannot win but instead go on rampages trying to destroy other civilizations. They can even capture unguarded cities. Barbarians may offer early advantages to players who defeat their villages."

Backstory:  We are going on a rampage.  Kalmar Union is going to be sent back to EU to play with their UIF mercs.  All fiefs will not be held but instead given to deserving small NA or Australian or Chinese clans (dracul_HappyPhantom, Yoshis, etc.  if you want a fief just come up north).  We are going to continue our rampage as long as we have troops and gear and silver before we end this random ai event designed to shake up strategus and create more fun battles.  Our going away party so to speak since UIF is not coming after us anymore in NA.  We "win" with tons of big batles with lots of xp.

Interviews:  The leader of the barbarian horde had to this to say:  "You gold, women, villages - we take!  You die!"  Eloquent as always.
A peasant in the kalmar union had this to say: "This can all be stemmed from the class-based system of limiting rich farmland to Europeans.  Creates a steppe based tribal system whose only way of gaining wealth or power under this system is by warfare and looting.  This horde will actually be a benefit to us the disenfranchised proletariat as we can join in the general looting and escape the slavery of a feudal based system governed by a corrupt elitist agenda."

Looks like there may be turmoil within the ranks?

P.S.  We have completed the last fief sale so we are truly landless barbarians from the steppes.

Joe wandered naked into the Applebee’s in Ichamur. A distracted young man in a black, button-up shirt and matching pants moved to open the door for him. He didn’t seem to notice Joe’s nudity, or perhaps he didn’t mind. But no, his gaze met Joe’s, then drifted down to his dangling member. “I shaved,” Joe explained.

Joe had been feeling a little down as of late, what with the lack of wars to fight. Trading had proved boring as shit, and recruiting troops seemed a waste of time without wars. Worse still, he hadn’t found his beloved Champion Courser. Somewhere, he knew, she was wandering around, lost and alone, suffering just as he was. He missed her: her scent, her smile, the hilarity of her attempts at handjobs.

Usually, shaving his balls immediately before walking around naked in public cheered him up. But he wasn’t having much fun. The doorman wasn’t enjoying it, either. He tried to close the door but Joe squeezed through. “I am lord Joe.” he declared. “And today’s fucking half-priced Sangria Night, so fuck you.” He walked past the little doorkeeper, grabbed a menu, and seated himself. The Applebee’s staff’s resistance was futile.

It took a few minutes, but eventually Joe got drunk. His world lurched and spun, but it wasn’t better than before. It was still a world without +3 Courser. He rested his head on the table.

“Joe. Please respond.”

Joe dragged his eyes from the tabletop, sticky with purple liquid, up to the man across from him. He squinted. Not a man, a triceratops. Bale. “Where you get here?” Joe asked.

“Been here an hour, Joe.” Bale scratched at his scaly neck. “You’ve been telling me about the lack of cav, specifically your, uh, lover.”

“Fucking Spanish. First the Maine, then our damn horses.” Joe wasn’t sure where he was. He glanced around but saw only blurry stuff.

“Right.” The Terrortops leaned forward. Joe thought Bale was going to kiss him so he leaned forward too. He charged in for the coup de grace, but Bale stopped his searching, desperate lips with an upraised…dinosaur foot thing.

“I see I’ve misunderestimated you.” Joe grabbed the salt-shaker and drizzled some onto the table. It piled up and up like snow. “A shame. You could have been my Terrorcock. We could have ruled the Arctic together.”

Bale looked frustrated. Of course. Anyone who turned down his sweet lovings would be frustrated with themselves. “No, Joe, I’m trying to tell you that your Courser might be in the North. EU scum has some outposts there. Kalmar people. Light blue on The Map. EU’s economy is infinitely superior to ours. Perhaps they have some decent cav up there, eh?” His beady little dinosaur eyes twinkled like the piss drippings scattered on the rim of a porcelain toilet do when the bathroom light strikes them just right.

“My horse?”

“Your horse, Joe. She might be waiting for you in Shulus. We need to plan a—”

Joe dove sideways out of his booth, hitting the gum-stained carpet hard. He lurched to his feet and marched towards the door, his veins flowing with Sangria and new-found hope. He needed to get to the armory and barracks—needed to muster his troops and save his love.

But then a waitress appeared in his path with a full tray in one hand. The wench took up the entire aisle. She stared, wide-eyed, and stuttered, “E-excuse me. I need to get to my t-table.”

“I NEED MY HORSE MORE!” Joe slapped one hand down on the tray, sending up a geyser of fries and fountain soda. She held onto it, though, and clutched it before her face like a turtling shielder my old friend. Joe immediately kicked, stumbling her long enough for him to finish her with a right hook. He leapt over her prone, weeping form and confronted his next foe, a fleeing one-hander wearing a puffy hat and white apron with a spatula in hand. He was waddling away quickly, screaming for his mother. He’d surely bring reinforcements. Joe grabbed him by the back of his apron, hoisted him overhead, and threw him across the room in the direction of the bar.

By now everyone was screaming. A taste of future battles. The path to the door was clear. He put his head down and sprinted. A toddler clutching a teddy bear stepped out in front of him, but Joe wasn’t stopping. He slammed into her like a fucking tractor-trailer hitting a deer. He didn’t look back. The heavy wood doors with glass panes were now just feet away. He punched a hole in the glass, put his hand through to unlock it from the outside but, realized it was already unlocked. He stumbled through the door and broken glass into the cool night of Ichamur’s crowded city streets.
   
“KALMAR WILL FALL!” he screamed.

Sorry. I had already written my post but hadn`t pressed "Post" because I was playing on EU and the attack wasnt scheduled when the round started so I wanted to wait.

Its funny too because chris the bro and I go way back.  He was actually in the fcc for a while last strat.  Would at least expect some notice.  Oh well, more xp for the xp gods.  We can fight 2 40 man eu factions at same time - we are fucking 'mericans and thats how we roll.  Maybe Ganner can get one of his fiefs back.

We would really like some company in Rindyar. Also yes we have the +3 courser in Rindyar. We found her inside the stables half-starved after we took Rindyar from Ganner. We have been feeding her properly and our Polish members have also enjoyed her great handjobs. I don`t really care for her but our Polish guys really like her and probably won`t give her back.

Also to clarify things. We declared war only on the barbarian invasion not on all factions fighting Kalmars.

Edit: I`m begging Squids not to attack us I`m just saying that we`re not jumping the "ASA" bandwagon and attacking Squids (unless they give us a reason like raping my grandma when she`s bringing glorious German beer to NA or they`re burning Lederhosen).

Anyone who thinks they can hold these villages even if you manage to win the first battle against us, after we've exhausted our resources against the Squids are quite mistaken. We welcome the challenge and will fight to best of our abilities even though you attacking that late is a tad problematic for us.

To be fair we were trying to attack at EU late primetime with the attack on shulus but they attacked Bale as soon as he got to Shulus, so it pushed the attack on shulus until that battle finishes first.

Wasn't complaining about the battle time, just saying we might have a problem getting our own commanders to show up at a 3AM battle for most or 4AM for me and the other Finns, but we'll see. Hopefully it won't be chaos and both sides get a decent roster. Considering everyone was supposed to hate Kesh on NA we are getting surprisingly few applicants for our side - does this mean they hate us even more? :shock: -> :oops: -> :cry:

Still you guys might have attacked the wrong enemy here. We are weak now and prolly can't stand up against you in the few battles due to most of the good gear was lost against the Squids, but in the end you'll get wiped without any resistance. So no xp and no fun for either side most likely. But let's hope I'm wrong here :wink:

Offtopic: Also squids attacked us on the EU side at NA time. Respect should work both ways, no?

But that's my point exactly why I think you chose the wrong time to have fun and we are all for fun on Strat. That's the only reason we came to NA in the first place, but right now we are weak. We have no fiefs to loom gear in, we have to buy it all on random places and it's not like we can come to your fiefs now and buy some Arbalests like we did before. But in the long run you can't stand against our strength and economy. Thus no fun for either side, first we get crushed, then you. But as I said, let's hope I'm wrong here.

Btw, Granny is out on vacation with his kids or some shit, so forum propaganda and trolling is up to me and Arn. I appologize not being up to the NA standards on that department :mrgreen:

Well kesh is a very polarizing figure. People tend to either hate him or love him without much in between. So I would say yes you can count on a certain amount of roster support from those who really do not like kesh. Here is the kicker.. he has a lot who love to fight for him as well. A large number of them are great people to have along for the ride. The balance is made up with people who I get along with and are happy to fight for me. At the end of the day people like good gear and solid commanders and we generally provide that for them. Also a above average chance at winning never hurts.

Kesh hasn't been very active in this strat, for better or worse, so there are far fewer people that will sign up against him out of spite.

The only people that will still do that are the hardcore spergs of strat 4, and there aren't many of them left. That would include me, but fortunately for him, I'm stuck without cRPG (oh the horror) since I'm on a new machine and Steam is giving me the RETRIEVING KEY LOL business.

you jumped on one of our fiefs because UIF armies were about to attack us... We beat the first army and took out the second. The equipment we won was earned. We then used that and the gear we already had to take out three kalmar armies. We now have more equipment we earned along with more troops then we started. We will parlay this into some more fun if possible.

Why Kalmarr?

These guys fled EU because the UIF wiped everybody.  They are a small clan just trying to play the game.  Forget the NA/EU thing.  They've played by NA rules.  They haven't been hitting people at EU time.  They stay up till 3 AM to be fair to NA. 

I'm just not down for wiping small clans off the map.  We're not even down for wiping AoW.  We just wanted to fight and it's been a lot of fun.  I'm not saying everyone and their mother should support Kalmar.  But c'mon guys.  The whole barbarian horde thing is funny.  I give Kesh a lot of credit.  He goaded UIF into hitting him and got a ton of gear.  It was a brilliant move.  But why go after Kalmarr?  If it's about xp go hit Curaw.  That's a fun battle and at least the gear advantage would make it an even fight.

2 reasons - 1) we really didn't want to use the UIF's gear against any NA clans
2) once it started looking like there was no more UIF intent to invade NA we asked ourselves who to attack, we had no plans for kalmar union.  Hadn't even entered our sights, just another random neutral.  Then Grandmom the leader of their faction started posting a good half-dozen conspiracy theories about us (we asked UIF for help, we were working with UIF to destroy EUs in NA, we gave the UIF gear we got to AoW, we made a bunch of unarmed britannic armies into shiny using UIF gear, etc. etc. all of which proved unfounded even though he claimed it was all based on multiple spy reports lol) - he made it a very easy choice.

By the way they are not small faction - 30+ players and their ally cooperation has over 40 players.  We took 22,5000 eu goods from them, these guys were one of the wealthiest factions on the map (was being the operative word).  We actually are an 8-man faction.  Taking 2 villages is not wiping them out, they have a bunch of armies hiding inside acre fiefs that ran away from us. They have over 8x as many players in their combined factions as we do, cooperation has 9K troops in rindyar castle alone not counting the 2 cities and other fiefs they hold in EU.  Their ally could easily give them 1 of their cities in EU.

It wasn't more than 14k, was it? But yeah, we had tons of Coorporation goods on us the we couldn't really protect and failed to move during NA night time. We weren't expecting to lose an okay geared village with the first attack, but our roster wasn't the strongest apparently with mostly EU guys on top of the scoreboard. We don't have 30+ members, not by a long shot. Like the Coorporation half of our guys have been sitting on EU since the UIF wiped us twice there. We have more than you though and it was a well timed attack if you actually wanted to wipe us, which I'm sure you did.

If we take a city on EU there's a high chance the UIF will come and take it away just to screw with us and have the battles they've wanted the whole Strat. We couldn't even hold a village, they took even that one :rolleyes: It's all good fun though and we don't hold grudges against UIF nor you; All in the game yo, all in the game.

They have over 8x as many players in their combined factions as we do, cooperation has 9K troops in rindyar castle alone not counting the 2 cities and other fiefs they hold in EU.  Their ally could easily give them 1 of their cities in EU.

Also Kalmar took over NA (AFAIK) free-trade fiefs and closed them for their own use. FREE TRADE FOR ALL.

Well Acre gave us Shulus and we took a fief from Squids cause they attacked us, what's the problem? If you want to trade just go to EU som much s&d there

The problem is - not how you GOT your fiefs - but that they are NOT free trade.
