First of all; balanced in this case means balanced in comparison to the other cRPG classes, not internal cav balance.

We see all these discussion with people posting over and over again and making up their own statistics on who wants what and so on.

Now i'm simply creating a poll to get a mor clear answer.
I would prefer if tehre was no big discussions n this trhead, since tehre are plenty of other trheads for that - people are allowed to state their opinion or come with their suggestion, and if someone else wants to discuss it, send a pm or start a new topic.

I would also appreciate it if people try to be objective isntead of thinking "I'm cav, i want it buffed" or "I'm a stafe archer, cav has killed me a lot.. lets nerf it"
Try to look at it in a bigger perspective. What would be best for overall cRPG balance and, in not-so-near future, strategus balance?

Thx.

I honestly think cav has to wait to be reassessed till throwing gets a buff. Once throwing is back we can see what effect it has against cav (used to help inf a lot ).

This is mostly to get numbers instead of all the cav nerf threads started by the same players. I, too, think we should wait, but meanwhile, this can give us a better overview.

This is going to be a biasd poll... because everyone who rides cav is going to say its fine or not good enough, and everyone who is infantry is going to say there over powered.

Horses of course should have an advantage against a infantry unit, but thats why the pike was invented.... Get a pike and you won't think horses are over powered anymore.

Make hose noise louder.

Make horses a bit more durable.

Then it's balanced imo.  They are really fragile, yet sneaky in a way.

This is about as unbiased as we're gonna get and you can read into it what you like. But to me the same amount of people want to buff and nerf cav, but this applies to most weapons e.g. bow which also has equal amounts of buff / nerf. This to me indicates a balance if buff = nerf. Read into what you want. I'm sure each players will have his own take on it and no doubt we will hear it on here :P

Personally I am for buffing horse noise, something needs to make you sorry footmen wake up :P

I still say the horse sounds floris mod implements. Then the footmen would simply crap their pants and run away instead

I don't know how people bitch about the noise horses make.  I can hear them across a map with my volume on low.  If anything, the noise for people on foot should be higher.  I have to be standing still, away from the action with my volume cranked up to 11 to even have a chance of hearing someone in plate mail softly pad up behind me before he caves my skull in with a morningstar.

both need ot be way fucking louder, end of story.
with my headset before one of the speakers broke i said the same thing about horses. Using a speaker&mic right now horses have no sound at all, and people don't make noise regardless.

it is really bad I don't know why footsteps and shit are so quiet. You can't even change them yourself?!? what a weak sound set up in options :(
Also, I have declared myself #1 NA hybrid thrower
