A fair suggestion to balance cav.

After patch and slot system, all clases were balanced. 2handers, hybrid xbowmen/throwers. You can't use an arbalest + a 2handed sword or pole. You can't use a huscarl +1h + sword. And a lot of examples.

If all items you can wear, take 1/2 slots.... Why horses don't take 1 slot? It's versatile and you can be a 1h+ shield cav, or a lancer, but don't allow you to be a 2 slot polearm/polearm cav or HA with 2 pack of arrows and a short sword, or a hybrid 1h/shield/pole cavalry. Here is my suggestion.

I think someone else already suggested that idea, but i coulndt find you the link if you asked me!

i just feel like saying : cuz we sit on our horses, we dont carry them

but seriously no. and i dont see how it should balance cav out.
-HA dont need less arrows
-if i want to go heavy lance+shield, thats seriously going to cripple me (have you ever tried fighting melee with a heavy lance
-why is it unbalance to have a polearm on my back?  :|

You're a cav player, right? ;-)
I understand that cav players don't like a nerf, but 90% of the community is asking for it. I didn't know that someone suggested that before, if u find the link, please post it here.

I know how that suggest will balance cav. When you will dehorsed, like as archers, you will wear a 1h weapon and not a big polearm/2h sword for fight on foot. It's unfair that horseplayers are as good as fighting on a horse as fighting on foot. If you want to be a class, just be a class, not the more powerful opness hybrid class on the game.

I also edited. Here is my response of why carrying a 2nd weapons as polearm/2handed on back is unbalanced.

sorry, i just gave out a more troll answer then anything so i edited a bit my post
and i dont think this a right path for a cav nerf. its more a nerf of versitality ( dunno how to right this), lancing + foot melee, not of the lollancing , turn on a dime stuff

if we apply your nerf, i will still be out there lolancing everyone!

Made up statistics don't work...

Fact is there are a few arguments from some very regular posters. Considering there have been over 100 people to vote on polls in the past, the anti-cav argument only see's a fraction of those actually caring enough to say something, most of them very strong anti-cav lobbyists who suggest nerfs that would simply put cav into the ground (the -10 speed/manoeuvre thread by Kesh for example which is plainly to harsh).

2 slots for a horse makes no sense. We already have to pay massive upkeep. If you do that then lower the upkeep dramatically. It would screw HA. Most cav would only be able to take a lance and shield. Or 1h and shield.

And as someone said, we don't carry our horse

So no it makes no sense.

The extra slot is for your EQUIPMENT, not for being on/in/at it. If every item is 1/2 slot, why horse is slot free? I don't expect a cav player saying is fair, but all of you know that i'm saying it is.

Does armour take 2 slots if it's heavy? No.

Why? Because the upkeep is a bitch and it would make no sense to make it count. Same with horses.

I want playing with a more or less historical setup like lance, sword and shield for a horseman to be possible. At least as long as lances are 2 slot, a horse filling a slot is not an option.

Why I cant play more or less historical setup of weaboo horse archer with jumi, arrows and katana?
Why I cant play more or less historical setup of nord archer with longbow, arrows, sword and shield? Even bots in DTV can do it.

If anything having a horse should expand your number of slots, not reduce them, being able to put extra quivers on my horses ass would make me go horse archer again. Since i believe in quantity not quality.

I am against it and i feel cav need to work different and that it have too high power level. If you want to prevent them from using super big weapons (glavie, poleaxe, greatswords) and lance at the same time, make those big weapons unsheathable instead of totally non-intuitive solution.

And i agree that horse should rather increase number of slots than decrease them. Horses are op, but this is not good idea to nerf them this way.
