Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

    Strength: 24

Currently, I'm using the 2nd build, but I don't notice the different in swing speed between 12 or 15 agil 4 or 5 WM. So I'm leaning toward the 1st build. Any veterans can help me have a better build, please tell. Thanks.

edit: according to the calculator I'm suppose to have 148 wpf, but I have 146. Wth is going on? I'm level 30.

You need agi for athletics, not for swing speed. Melee is based on footwork.

The calculator has a small disclaimer saying that wpf estimates may be off by a few points. Sorry!

I would go 24/15. I believe most of the STR based guys use 24/15, because 12 agi is still a bit low (on athletics).

24/15 is a good build.  Unless you always play with clanmates or at least a shielder friend who can assist you positionally, the low athletics of a 27/12 build is a liability.  When playing solo even 24/15 can be frustratingly slow at times and you have to channel pridecrusher to survive being ganged.

24/15 or your will pee blood to catch the backpedaling enemies. At 24 str you already have enough power to crush through shields using mallets and funny stuff. You also will one shot many ppl with a uber sword or another malle/lolhammer or similar creppy thing.

What everyone is saying about athletics is very, very true. However, I'm having a hell of a lot of fun on my 36/3 2-hander.

Oh yes, my weapons of choice for that build is a HBS for general use, or a claymore when I feel like one-shotting everything that moves.

24/15 is awesome. I feel a little slow when wearing transitional (everything feels fine with brigandine), and I have to be very sneaky when it comes to archers (I can't chase them if they see me), but it is awesome, because I can take a lot of punishment. And since my favorite method of blocking is blocking with my body, I need this.
Currently, I am working towards 24/18 build. I considered 27/15 also, but I decided that I already hit hard enough - overhead one shots most of players, agi builds are usually oneshot as well, with proper speed bonus medium armored players also. I am using MW Danish, if that matters, I wonder what would happen with loomed Claymore, though.
I mean, what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing, you're going back to nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!

I like my Mighty Morningstar on my full str alt purely for opening tincans like a car door and shattering shields like they're made of plywood in 2-3 hits.
Maybe you are not bad, but you are a boring person. Well, that's the end of the matter.

Morningstar does not need a pure str build to open tin cans.
