I really have to thank you for making this nice guide with some good pics/vids, very infomative and usefull for a new player like me.
I'm definitely going to use these tricks on my Sniper Crossbower! +1!

Guide updated. Several typoes were fixed, pictures were added /thx to Koldborn/, will add more chapters (Crossbowery in Strategus, Assigning keys, small dictionary etc.) and change some pics.

I'm not playing and something could be outdated but I'll try to do my best updating this guide. Will update it today in the evening.

The whole crossbow section has been changed. All crossbows' pics have been changed, all info about crossbows have been changed.
Added "Strategus" lines to all crossbows and bolts.
Added builds for all classes those who level up to lvl33.

I would be glad to see you guys on the battlefield, I really miss most of the players but I won't come back soon (not earlier than in the second part of summer and I won't probably play crpg but some strat battles).


Guide changelog:

- The whole 4th chapter was changed (pictures and text are 70% changed to be more informative)
- Minor typoes fixed
- Added a new class/build Scout
- Minor additions/changes in the text
- Added Chapter 2. Game Settings
- Merged chapter 3 and 4 into one (Chapter 4. Gear)
- Added Chapter 7. Epilogue
- Chapter 1. Prologue is edited
- Added a Small Dictionary of a Crossbowman in Chapter 1. Prologue.

I need a picture for the class Scout (I would also appreciate new pictures for Horse Crossbowman class and a shielder classes).


Will add "Crossbowery in Strategus" section  and info about each class one day.

Is there any mod that makes FLYING bolt more visible? Cause i often shoot and lost my bolt flying and can't take a correct on aim.

Hi Dave, you dont play very ofthen now, so you probably haven't see, that mant arbalest users use 0 slot round steel buckler today.
So I can suggest to add some build with this shield.

I'd suggest making it for level 30>31>32>33>34 as how DaveUKR did in this guide.
