Hi there,

Haven't been keeping up to date with the latest films lately, i really hope to get some feedbacks from you guys first. The idea is to let more people know the good films they've missed.

Please post the films you think worth watching ^^

Thank you

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
+1 awesome acting from Johnny Depp and Benicio Del Toro.

I'd say:

Back to the future trilogy
What's eating gilbert grape
Billy Elliott
Forrest Gump
Big fish
Blade runner
Crash
South park the movie
...

These are the movies that get to my mind right now.

Some more serious suggestions:
A weird mixture of scifi, romance and medieval movie that has awesome music and the potential to make you cry, try "The Fountain" directed by Darren Aronofsky, starring Hugh Jackman. I've never seen this guy act so good before. Also, Rachel Weisz. I'd link a trailer, but it spoilers so much it's not really funny any more. I would tell you what it's about, but i'm not entirely sure yet. Warning, nearly no action, but instead a lot of symbolism.

Some rather light-weighted movie, a mixture of horror, scifi and dark comedy, try Slither, found it by luck, was fun to watch, easy entertainment. Starring: The guy fom firefly and a blonde chick that I know from somewhere but not sure from where exactly. Aliens land in some american small town and infest all blahblahblah. The story is cliche, but it's well played.

Probably one of my favorites:
The man from earth. An independent movie with half a dozen friends sitting in a wooden hut and talking. Talking about what? One of those friends claims he is actually a caveman that just doesn't die. Awesome.

That's just a few random picks from the top of my head, might post more when I can think of something else.

My favs:

Gladiator
Kingdom of Heaven (Directors cut, don't bother with the original)
Moulin Rouge (I know  )
A Beautiful Mind
Battle Royale (who doesn't love Japanese teenagers killing each other)
Beowulf (actually loved this film for some reason)
Black Swan
Big Fish
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (one of the best animated movies out there)
Hot Rod
Independence Day
Master and Commander
Memoirs of a Geisha (beautifully shot film)
Pan's Labyrinth (weird but worth the time)
Rec
Singin in the Rain (not exactly current but always good)
The Beach
The Butterfly Effect (Directors cut...not the shitty release version)
The Hole (Keira Knightly early film)
The Motorcycle Diaries
Up

the fountain and man from earth are two of my favourites. gonna try slither.

personnally i liked district 9 very much. love the main actor and the whole idea of it. aliens as diasdained scum in a slum in johanisburg, men racist against aliens. some don't like that it becomes some kind of action movie at some point, i like that too.

I also recommend "moon". No action, no big story, but the athmosphere and acting is great. Reminds me of some stanislaw lem book. great sci-fi.

did someone of you watched eagke vs. shark? crazy, hilarious.

mh, thats all for now.
